Have you gotten a COVID vaccine?

DH & I had our first Pfizer shots this morning. So far, I've had a pulsing sound in one ear that lasted about 30 minutes, then went away. I also have a knot/lump that's about the diameter of a quarter, a small red circle & bruising at my injection site, but no soreness. The same person gave DH his shot. You can barely see his injection site. It looks like a freckle, but he has significant soreness. I'll update again tomorrow for anyone who is interested.

Update: I've had that strange pulsing sound in my right ear on & off last night & today. It's really just a nuisance. It's not painful at all. The injection site still has a knot & bruising, but the redness is gone. It never did get sore. DH's soreness is almost completely gone. So far, that's still the only side effects we've had.

I had my first dose, Pfizer last Friday through a clinic at my job. I had very little side effects. I had a sore arm for 2 days, and the night of my shot I fell asleep at 8:30pm and slept until 5:30 straight through. I get my 2nd dose April 9th. I am very happy they scheduled it for a Friday so I can have the weekend if needed to recover.

I got my dose - I thought I was getting Moderna (pharmacist Sunday told me that's what they'd have), but I got Pfizer. Hurray for one week earlier to the next shot.

Unlike my Shingrix series, no immediate, agonizing arm pain (especially the 2nd Shingles shot), so I'm taking the start of the vaccine as a win. We'll see how I feel 12-48 hours from now. Unless it's bad, I'm not planning on taking anything til bedtime...

Thank you. I will let her know.

CVS and Safeway both just opened to all of 1B in VA on Friday - both companies tend to drop appointments around 8am on Mondays, so if you can't find one this week, have her go on either website then (or maybe start checking at 7am, b/c they may drop earlier - I just never checked til 8am:)), and you should find an appointment...

Got my second Moderna shot yesterday. The first shot was fine (no side effects besides sore arm), but this second shot hit me hard. Fever, chills, body aches, migraine, etc. It's been about 30 hours and the side effects are subsiding.

I would do it again if I had the chance. I'm extremely thankful to have the immunity. My upcoming trip to OKW got me through it (mentally).

Just back from taking DS for vaccination, massive line of cars to get in the place. We had to park in an outside lot (it was a parking structure where the shots were being done). He got checked in (HUGE line of people) at 10:45 (appointment time 10:00), and the shot at 10:51. Much different than 2 weeks and 5 weeks ago when DH & I got our shots. We basically parked right in front of the structure, and walked right in and out in 15 minutes (with wait time).

Anyway, he heads back there in 3 weeks for second dose.

Got my pfirst Pfizer shot this morning at Meijer! :D

It went very smoothly, I was there a bit early so they put me in a line for the 10:00 people, then at 10:00 we got into another line to give our ID and medical insurance information to a row of people with laptops, then we went to another line that went through the shoes and men's department to a large area with a bunch of tables and people giving the shots.

Then it was off to a large waiting area in the women's department next door that had evenly spaced chairs for us to sit on for fifteen minutes in case we had a reaction. No side effects so far, just a slightly sore arm. I go back for shot #2 on April 13!

It was probably a bit annoying for the shoppers who had to edge around us to get to the merchandise, though...

My DD got her second shot of Pfizer. She is 46 years old. No side effects at all. I had no side effects, 67, of Moderna, either first or second shots. It's anybody's guess as to who will have some side effects. No matter what, we are all going to be much safer.

My side effects to the second moderna shot were more than after the first one. The day after the second shot I was very tired, headachy, queasy, achy, and had a low grade fever. I hardly ever have any kind of fever. However, by Monday I only had fatigue and was queasy. My arm is still a bit sore and itchy but not bad. All done now.
