Sounds like a lot of people getting moderna get headaches or fever and chills. My sister got a bad headache and nephew fever and chills with 2nd dose and he runs everyday and fit. He said it kicked his but! Both had sore arms.

Hubby, dd and and I are in waiting list for moderna. I’m diabetic, high blood pressure and asthma. I dint want the vaccine but work will be opening up to kids in April even though we are still in purple tier So I need to protect myself and get vaccinated. I hope and pray we get through it without any allergenic reactions or bad side effects

My mom got the J&J vaccine today at a CVS. She had to drive about an hour to get it. AFAIK she’s doing fine so far.

I just got the first Pfizer vaccine last week. I made the appointment over a month ago but many people who made appointments after me had theirs first. Johnson and Johnson started to be given out here a few days ago and I know a couple of people who got it. One made the appointment at 10pm yesterday for 3am today.
My arm was very sore the second day after I got my shot

My mom got the J&J vaccine today at a CVS. She had to drive about an hour to get it. AFAIK she’s doing fine so far.

What a great thread to read through.

As a teacher I was able to get an appointment for the 1st Pfizer at CVS for this coming Friday. Sounds like people have had all sorts of experiences but seems like most had sore arms and mild headaches. Sounds doable to me!

Got my first shot of moderna 3 hours ago and feeling good so far. No sore arm yet but expecting that to happen tomorrow. Be nice if it doesn't happen though!

It’s been a big vaccine week for my family! I got my 2nd dose of Moderna last Sunday. My whole arm was sore almost right away vs the first dose it didn’t hurt until the next day. The next day I got headaches but that was it overall.

My husband was able to snag his first dose of Pfizer at a Walgreens last Monday and had no side effects except a little arm soreness. My mom will get her 2nd dose of Pfizer next Saturday.

My parent-in-laws got their first doses of Moderna Wednesday at a Walgreens and my BIL and SIL both got J&J yesterday at the school they teach at.

My 96 year old grandparents got their second dose of Moderna Friday. No side effects! So glad they are vaccinated. It was a real process to get them scheduled due to their location in the state and also technical difficulties that go with them being 96. Their neighbor works for the hospital and was able to sign them up for their extra doses. We are so grateful for their neighbor.

Received first dose of Moderna 3/12/21. Second dose this week! Sore arm for an evening. Dh received Moderna 3/6/21. No side effects. The hope of birthday parties, national holidays being spent with my family, makes me ecstatic! Wishing the best for everyone!

Update:

Well, I made to dinnertime, and then things went bad. Nauseated, and so tired I fell asleep on the couch (something I hardly ever do). Went to bed early, with stomach medication and Tylenol.

Much better this morning. Hope that's all.

Nearly 24 hours since 1st shot (Pfizer), both DH & I have a bit of a sore arm, no other reaction. It really isn’t much worse, if any, than a flu vaccine.

I had my second does of Moderna over a week ago. I had a fever with headache and I was super tired! Weirdest side effect/immune response was a swollen lymph node by my clavicle. It SCARED me!

My brothers are finally over their symptoms. I was worried about my parents (89 and 90) getting their 2nd Moderna yesterday.....they are both fine today.

24 hours poist Pfizer #1 for me... 48 for my husband.... just soreness on the injection arms for us both.

I had first Pfizer this morning. So far zero side effects. Except, yes, great feeling of relief. For me the whole thing was really emotional. I welled up tears when I got the jab. The vaccination center was super well-organized and there were so many cheerful volunteers greeting and guiding people, and then after so much "bucking up" over this past year, it was just really emotional.
Something I'll probably never forget.
