Several years ago a local supermarket was running a Monopoly game. You earned a game piece for each $20 spent plus bonus pieces for certain items. Anyway, I won "Free Groceries For A Year," which turned out to be 52 separate $100 gift cards for the chain. Yes, I had to declare it on my income taxes. I gave at least a dozen cards away as gifts to various people.

Various shooting competitions both as an individual and as a team leader... NOT practicing on wild animals I hasten to add, exclusively using .22 rifles on ten bull paper targets, always at a range of 25 yards (that was our range) plus a two round sighting target, prone position, jackets, the biz. I shoot less now and have shifted to air rifle shooting at my new local range, but the passion is the same.

I wont a really nice cordless drill from a raffle at the State Fair one time that a hardware store was doing. Years ago I won $100 gift card to Speedway gas station through some sort of enter codes online sort of contest.

I won the most important thing ever. The great lottery that is finding a great spouse. Both me and mine got lucky. Haven't been lucky at much else. We've won a few minor things here and there. But that's about it. I have won at Black Jack. I in fact win all the time. Usually though less than 50 bucks. So that doesn't really count. I win at our poker games all the time too. The big winner usually goes home with about $10. I usually go home having won a couple of bucks. That's how high roller we are. I usually win at most games I play. I really don't play the lottery or other rip offs. And I don't enter those contests where everyone wins the third prize (a trial membership to whatever they are hawking.)
I have won several free trips. But everyone on the marketing list for the time share they're hawking wins those. So that doesn't really count either.
Have won at a lot of things. But never things that got me much monetary value by winning. But like I said, the most important thing ever, I got lucky.

I won a weekend trip to Chicago, and it included staying at the Ritz Carlton. We were big White Socks fans, so we went to a double header while we were there. It was through some kind of drawing at work.

I won a new bike at school when I was in 3rd grade. They put all the kids who had perfect attendance in a hat and drew my name. Won $1,000 from a contest I entered online. Won tickets to an NFL playoff game on the radio. I also won Suite tickets to an NFL game from another online contest. A couple a years ago I went through a period where I entered a lot of contests online. There was a website I went to that gathered all these contests you could enter online. I was entering like 100 contests a day. I won a lot a things like headphones, several small gift cards like between $10-$25, a bunch of hats and t-shirts, etc. Got tired of spending 1-2 hours a day entering contests so I don't do it anymore.

I won a cake in a cake walk in second grade. I remember it like it was yesterday! The cake was a pink frosted cake and it had sprinkles.

It was a "fun night" event in the evening at my elementary school. I felt like I had won a million dollar lottery. Of course, we had walked to the school and had to walk home. My mom carried the cake and did not share my level of enthusiasm. I don't remember eating it although I'm sure we did.

I also won a pink and white, stuffed autograph dog. That was a different year and did not compare to winning the cake!

I won a VIP visit to the NY Giants Training Camp, for a catered dinner, stuff from Timex who's hosting, and met players.

Won a Disney "lottery" to use a wedding venue.

Won a Halloween costume contest at work once (was incredibly pregnant and dressed in a robe, pjs, slippers and curlers, with white makeup on my cheeks. Most comfortable I was during the whole of the pregnancy!).

Won a baseball in a Kellogg's second-chance sweepstakes.

Won a tee shirt for answering "Ralston-Purina" for a radio quiz question.

Way back in the early 80s, when they were the newest and coolest thing ever I won an Atari game system in a drawing at Burger King. It came with Pong. That was my one and only win.

Oh yes, various little things from raffles and radio station call in's back in the day. But my biggest win came 2 years ago, a $500 Visa gift card, from a College Loan place. Saw it on twitter and you had to repost on Twitter, instagram, fb whatever social media you had and tag them and they randomly picked people and I was one of them.

I haven't won a lot, but there was an essay contest when I was about 10. I won a beautiful plastic bee hive/bee piggy bank.

I won a $100 room credit for our first cruise. A friend who was a TA had an open house to sell a block of rooms on this cruise. So not worth it. It was the worst vacation I ever took.

On our Alaskan cruise (great time), I won $1200 on the slots.
