We once had a horrible waiter at Hollywood Brown Derby. Slow, rude, never came back for drink refills. We were on the old food plan and even after all he did (well didn't do for us) he told us that we could still tip him for the meal. Yeah well he didn't get a tip. But unfortunatley for us we never complained. We were at Artist Point a few days later, we started with one waiter but then another took over. We asked if it was because we were on the food plan. She told us no, but asked why we would say that. Well we told her what happened to us at Brown Derby and she was so upset she told her manager. She then talked to us for a while and asked if we would mind if she called the manager at Brown Derby to tell him about it. We said no, that would be fine. Well the manager at Artist Point then asked if there was something she could do for us, and with little thought, we said yeah reservations at Cinderella's Castle. We got back to our room the next night and there was an invitation address to my DD from Cinderella asking us to join her for breakfast on our last day there. We did have to pay for it, but there was also a voice message from the manager from Brown Derby asking us to meet with him. Well we did explained what happened and he gave us his business card and employee number and put on the card that we were welcome to come back and dinner for the 4 of us on the house. He also told us that if you ever have a problem at a restaurant at Disney to talk to someone, never let it go. We used the dinner the next year and they didnt say anything just took the card and that was that. I have found that it is much easier to tell a manager then live with it. It also happened to us at Ohana's and we did get one meal taken off.
