Have YOU ever had or witnessed a rude incident in the park? Tell me about it!

So because the driver parked the car crookedly you assumes/he is both feeling an excessive amount of self entitlement and has been drinking too much? Don't you think you're reaching a bit? I would have assumed it was someone with poor parking skills. But what do I know. But from the picture, I'll bet the driver was pissed when he returned to find he'd left the lights on.
It takes effort to maneuver a car into a spot when you're driving against the flow. Or, maybe you're right...maybe he (or she) had been drinking too much from one of hundreds of locations at WDW where you can get alcohol.

Look at this website:

http://www.drinkingatdisney.com/ (and don't forget to download your Epcot drinking checklist...it's incredibly important to have that checklist because otherwise you're just not going to have any fun at Epcot without it, right?)

Do you believe someone actually took the time to compile this information? Notice the cigarette packs, too. Yeah, it's not like many Disney guests smoke in non-designated areas or anything like that. No, not at all. Remember that sense of entitlement...

You realize that at the end of the day, drivers are directed to park in empty spots, right? But don't worry, I'm sure that driver is crying into their beer because some guy on the internet pointed out the hubris it took to park in the spot he was directed to.

You bet. It worked, too. You see, I figure it this way--a court appearance will take place in Orange County, FL, and I live less than an hour away by car. So, if someone wants to press charges, he can foot the bill for a plane ride back down to Orange County from Podunk (insert state here).

Take a look below at more inappropriate behavior from the same day. Just who does the driver of this vehicle think he is parking his vehicle like this?

Remember: Sense of entitlement + massive amounts of booze in WDW = unpleasant experiences for other guests

I'm sorry, but I really don't understand what the picture is attempting to depict? The spots are angled and the car is within the white lines, with what appears to be plenty of room between the cars on either side?

Thought I was the only one who didn't see anything wrong. Doesn't look like the best parking job ever, but it is between the lines and doesn't stop others from using the spots beside it. Looks like others arrived at a time where they could pull through the spots behind them (hence are nose out, rather than nose in, like the focus of the picture and the cars in the other columns), but the focal point vehicle did not (and didn't want to back in).

Well, that would involve a reversal of time.

We were waiting for the Electric Parade to start and there were probably people sitting 3 rows deep. I was sitting on this wall speaking with this elder couple and they were telling us how they had been sitting there for a long time. Everyone around were so nice and joking with everyone and just having a great time. While when the parade started this woman in the front just stood up to watch the parade blocking the view of many of the children. So I went and asked her to sit down because of the children in the back cant see and she was just so rude and just said she had been there and she had the right to stand anywhere she wanted, she made me so angry. i just understand rude people.

The rudest behavior I've ever encountered at WDW was when my mother woke me up after a good night's sleep in our room and told me we had to leave. Excuse you, I was having fun in WDW! Some people! ;)

You sound like you could use a drink.

Based on my observation as an AP holder, I've noticed an increase in rude behavior with increased alcohol sales over the years.
:mad:o_O So sad and yet so true. I pray for our future...

For the person to have parked that way he must have gone against the traffic posing a threat to those that are walking back to their cars or the drivers that are following the CM guidelines and are guided to park between the spots. It's dangerous

That's what I figured, but I'm curious. Are the CMs there all day to direct traffic, or just in the morning when people are arriving for rope drop? Even so, it should've been obvious to the driver that he was going the wrong way when he saw all the other cars pointed toward him.

They are there all day long, the problem is that some people just don't listen others no matter how many cones, arrows and people pointing there are they still manage to get lost. Then you have the drivers who are hell vent in something and it becomes dangerous... Parking is dangerous Y'all! :P

The three rudest stories I have of guests at WDW is when my sister and I stayed at Art of Animation. It was a last minute kind of trip so AOA was kind of our only option. We had a Little Mermaid room and yes it was a long walk for us every morning. But, the first is our neighbors who would let their child run the Remote Control monster truck up and down the breezeway in front of our room till after midnight. Every night for two days. Thank goodness they finally left. The next two happened the night before we checked out. I went down to the food court to use up some of our last credits. (I was picking up a large pizza for us to split in our room.) Waited in that line I know for over 15 minutes and when it was my turn the gentleman (yeah right) in the line next to me decided to cut in front of me. The poor cm was like I'm so sorry. Next, on my long journey back to the room with two small pizzas I was almost at the elevator, when these gentlemen (who didn't speak English I'm thinking they might have been from South America there was a lot of families there during our stay from South America) decided to spit at me from the second floor breezeway where they were standing. One almost hit me with it. I quickly managed to get to the elevator. I should have went back to the front desk. It was so late though and I was so tired, I just didn't feel like making the journey all the way back. I really didn't feel they could do anything about it.

I've seen lots of other bits of rudeness at the parks. I try not to let it get to me. Just try to laugh it off and shake my head. People are crazy..

Never mind, other folks answered my question! :D

(Non-driver, due to crummy eyes, so basically clueless.)

Happy Anniversary!!

I'm 8 years older than my husband, and our twentieth is this December! I started "claiming" his age for a while until my Mom laughed at me :P

And Happy Anniversary, right back 'atcha! :flower3:

The way I see it, age differences don't mean much, if you've got the right partner. My husband's folks had one of the strongest marriages I've ever known and there was 12 years between them. Also, my children's godparents also have a 12 year age gap (in both cased the woman is the younger), and they're still going strong, too.

In all my trips to Disney I've only had one person be rude to me personally (and not just be rude to everyone in general). At MNSSHP on Halloween a parent got a bit pissy with me over my costume being too scary for his kid, confronted me on it and kept up on it while I was trying to shop in one of the stores, I turned it around though by showing the kid that it was makeup and the guy was left standing there fish mouthing since his kid now thought my costume was "cool".

Late in the day they direct you to park like that. When all the pull-through spots are gone, they send you the other way to park like normal. They don't make you back into a spot. That's exactly how we parked at MGM a month ago.

One incident seems to stick in my mind and even though it was 3 years ago, its still makes me cross. my husband was in a wheelchair and were sat at the back of Indiana Jones next to a Hispanic family and their little boy who was probably about 6 decided he couldn't see and stood in front of my husbands legs, meaning that now husband could see. We asked him if he could move and his grandmother who was in a wheelchair beside us rambled heatedly at us which we could only assume was that the boy was staying where he was. my husband missed most of the show and even a slight nudge didn't make the boy move but instead he glared at hubby as if he was in the wrong.

In the end, we all want to be treated by others the way that we treat others. But some of these examples are stretching it. If you get upset by older men together with younger women, then you need to stay in your little Amish cocoon, and not venture out into the real world. A vehicle parked backwards in a parking space? Seriously, that gets you so peeved that you take a picture?

When I am in a crowded place I constantly ask myself if what I am doing or my family is doing is interfering with other people. Sometimes I take it too far and tell my kids to stop doing something only to have the people who I think we are bothering tell me, "No, no, they are fine." So I have a high standard of behavior for us, and realize that not everyone is going to have the same standard. So when we see someone with no standards of behavior, it does burn inside me. But now I have Elsa's song to sing in those situations. :)

I don't know about that guy, but if I were drunk I most certainly would not have been able to park between the lines like that, no matter if I was going against the traffic pattern or not. Methinks you're reaching a bit too much with the "maybe he (or she) had been drinking too much from one of hundreds of locations at WDW where you can get alcohol" assumption, Epcotfan64.

Our first trip ever in March 2014, we had one incident that really upset me. The park was insanely crowded and an older woman in a scooter was just plowing through people. I noticed her up ahead. She nearly took out my DS, who was 9 at the time, and then YELLED at him for getting in HER way, as if she owned the whole walkway. I politely asked her to not yell at my son, as he was just doing his best to walk through the crowds, and this lady straight up FLIPPED me off. I do not handle those things lightly lol, but since my kids were present we just kept walking. My DH could not believe what happened and honestly neither can I still!
