I'm wondering what you have given away to other guests at the park, why you did it and the peoples reaction when you gave them something.

I have give Fastpasses away that I couln't or wouldn't use. Most often the people were so suprised that they didn't know what to say.

FP's. Once I gave them to people in line, and at first they were just confused, then said thanks! Another time, I was going to put them on top of the FP machine (I was in a hurry!), but a CM asked about it, and said she would give them to someone in line....but she kept saying, "Are you really sure you don't want these?" She couldn't imagine not using them, but we were on day 7 at WDW, had already ridden everything, and the 5 yo twins were ready for the pool :thumbsup2

Oh yeah, same trip, the twins handed out glow braceletes to all of their companions at the EP, they had so much fun! They love giving people stuff! And the other kids were just so happy :) And I was happy to get rid of them, we bought like 500 wholesale before the trip.

Also FPs a few times.

On our last hour in WDW, we gave a couple a double-stroller who were in line to hire strollers. We bought from Toys R Us two weeks before as we didn't need it any more and were flying back to the UK.

They were very puzzled...

We also have given away glowsticks to kids sitting near us at parades. The kids love them and the parents seemed to really appreciate someone taking the time to do that. :goodvibes

I collect fast passes like clockwork, but sometimes my family runs out of steam before we need to use them, so I end up giving them out as we are leaving the park, usually an entire handful of the "prize" fast passes. I love to share the magic. Usually I get a "Wow!, Thanks!)

We gave away fast passes and glow bracelets. People get really confused when you are handing them something, I think they are wondering what the catch is.

My best moment was giving Club 33 stuff (A pen, mini notebook, mints, etc.- the freebies) to a super nice teenage girl who we met in line for Soarin'. She saw my Club 33 pin and got all excited because she knew what it was. We had just had lunch there and she wanted to know all about it. When I gave her that pen you'd have thought it was the key to a new car. :)

We give FP's away often, then the recipient gets confused because the time is passed so they think they can't use them. I love explaining that yes they can and they get super excited to think they can ride the ride *right now* and still get a FP for later. :) I've also given away pins, or traded *good* pins for *standard* pins. One of my faves is to hand out glow sticks, we always buy a ton of them when they are in the Dollar Spot or when we see them at the Dollar Stores, I always share with the kids around us while we are waiting for the parade, fireworks for F! I always ask the parents if it's OK first though.

We've given away FP's too.. Our last trip, someone gave us their locker after they were finished. It was about 10pm, and we had left over pizza from Napolini's in DTD, and we didn't want to walk back to the parking structure to put it the car, and by that time the lockers that weren't used were closed, because it was so late, and someone saw us giong to each little computer trying to get a locker, and they gave us the reciept of their locker since they were leaving for the day so we could use it. It was the nicest thing.. It made us so happy.. :goodvibes

We gave away dream fast passes.

We also gave the Dream FP's away(got dreamed two days in a row) also the pin trading lanyards. When they look at you I think they think there are strings attached.

We were dreamed twice with lanyards last year. We were on a tour with two adorable little girls and my husband and I gave the girls our extra two lanyards and pins we won. We still came home with 8 lanyards too---our boys wouldn't/couldn't part with their extra ones :) It was well worth it to see a smile on their faces. I think it is wonderful to share especially at Disneyland :)

my sons have given away pins to little kids who are just starting to pin trade, such a good feeling!:lovestruc

When the kids were younger I used to get extra glow necklaces and have them find another child to give them to.

My dd & her friend got this little boy a stuffed animal one time. We were waiting for the fireworks when they were new, and sat for a few hours with this family. They thought the boy was cute & got him a stuffed animal.

I've given a whirly Buzz to another little boy - he was so cute & I asked his mother if I could get it for him.

I once had three extra tix to Fantasmic Dessert Buffet - riverside. I asked the cms if I could give them away & they said yes (part of my party didn't want to watch it because some scenes would frighten their little ones, so I ended up w/extra tix ... that I had bought). I found a mom & two children & offered the tix to her. She was there from Washington & this was the first time they were going to see the show. I explained the tix to her & she had her husband (I didn't know there were four of them) go with the kids to watch in the reserved section. It was great. They loved it, and after the show, the CMs let her join us to watch the fireworks. I told the children that they must have a mom who loved them a whole lot to want them to sit without her in the special section. They were sure to give her lots of hugs & kisses after it was over, and the parents were really appreciative. :)

I've given away fastpasses and I gave away dream fastpasses, when I got them only a few hours before I had to leave for the airport. I picked an elderly couple because I thought it would save them time in line, and maybe the day wouldn't be so hard on their feet.

We actually just returned from a weekend trip to WDW and I've been reading this board like crazy because we're going to DL next month. Anyway, while we were waiting in the line for Expedition Everest at Animal Kingdom a really nice man came over and handed me several FP's for the ride and also asked if we would be going to Hollywood Studios the same day, we actually had planned to do so, next thing I know he's handed me FP's for Rockin Roller Coaster too! I ended up giving several of them to other people around us, used a couple, and then gave away the FP's we had already gotten ourselves for later in the day. It was great as he paid it forward, and I was able to as well.

Also, as we were leaving the resort to check out I had about 30 of the little sealed cups of French Vanilla coffee creamer that I didn't want to throw away but couldn't bring on the plane. I asked a couple of people if they wanted them and they declined...DH was really embarrassed that I was doing it. But I kept asking and found a family unloading their luggage from the car that were very appreciative and gladly accepted them. My DH could decide what was weirder...me giving the creamers away, or someone taking them. I told him he just doesn't get -- we DIS'ers like to help each other out!

A few years ago GetAwayToday used to give a free breakfast with their parkhoppers. We never made it into the park for breakfast during our stay. The morning we checked out we gave away our tickets with the free breakfast to a family in the elevator.
We have also given away fast passes as well as received them from other people.
We have given away water and snacks to kids and other folks while in line for rides.

We were at DCA and I saw a woman with her family who had Dream FP'S around her neck. So I asked her about it and she told us they had been dreamed. So I congratulated her.:thumbsup2 I thought it was really something. She told me that they were leaving( she had 2 cute little girls who looked tired) . so she summoned her DH and gave us all 4 sets of her Dream FP'S. It just made our day. :cool1: I hope I get to return the favor one day! The Dream FP's she gave me are on my dresser, they are a part of my Disneyland collection now.
So, nice lady, if you ever read this, THANK YOU !!! You are WONDERFUL!!:cheer2:

When we booked our package for last September, we got the priority seating vouchers for Aladdin, etc. We didn't use them.

So for our December trip we brought them, and only used one.

We are a family of 3, and while DS and I were sitting in the lobby of the Anabella, waiting for my brother to get there to take us to his place, I saw a family of 3 just checking in. They looked so excited. :)

I ran over to them, made sure they were going to DL/DCA, and gave them our vouchers, being sure to let them know that Aladdin was missing and how to use the other vouchers (they were expiring in January and we didn't have plans to be back by then). They seemed so happy to get them!

I hope they used them. :)

And then I had a solo trip 1/25-26 and wished I had one of them, then saw someone post that they had something like 9, I asked if I could have one (only Aladdin was missing, just like mine), and she kindly sent one to me. So I gave and received, and it was nice.

I often want to give fast passes away, but I don't generally give them to people b/c so many people are clueless about them, especially "expired" time ones, and I don't want to take the time to explain.
