Yep! And every time was while I was on duty!! One time was for a personal thing (ruptured ovarian cyst) but my Sgt. called the paramedics when I nearly passed out and threw up. He was a stubborn, old school kind of guy, so the whole female issue I'm sure was just way out of his league! LOL!
Then 2 other times when I got injured on duty. Nothing ever serious... 1. Slammed to the ground after a foot chase and fight with an offender. Hit my head pretty good, so they wanted me to go for X-rays. Plus it helped get the upgraded felony charges! And 2. when I lost my footing, again running to a call, and cracked my elbow on my gun! They thought I did something to the bone in my elbow, but thankfully I didn't.
However, funny story about incident #2. I was fortunate to be going to a call at Krispy Kreme, which I hate! But, apparently the fire department that we worked with, and where I knew a lot of the guys, thought it was "necessary" to send the ambulance, fire truck, chief, and I think 1 more vehicle!! They found it quite humorous to treat a police officer in the Krispy Kreme lot!!
Again though, very thankful that never for anything serious!
