Have you ever been EXCUSED from school?

I was talking to another mom and she had never been excused (suspended or expelled) from a school. Again, I thought everyone had at least once...



So have you?


You dont have to tell the story..yes or no. But I'll start and tell.

Yes, My 2 of my brothers and I we in Spanish Class together and the assignment was to make a spanish dish for the class. We made tacos, but half way thru we realized we had no ground beef. I went and asked the neighbors and they only had....ALPO!

So we got in trouble for feeding the class and the teachers ALPO in taco sauce. My mom just laughed and told us we deserved the punishment!

I never got suspended or expelled. I was for the most part good girl. But it was nice to work for the Vice-Principal. Everyone thought I was doing good, even when I wasn't.

My daughter got suspended one year. For warning another girl, that two girls were planning on jumping her after school. We fought that one.

No. I Ferris Beullered my way through school. Wound up 3rd out of a 264 class with a 3.4 GPA. I quote,"I asked for a car and got a computer.."

I received Saturday school once for ditching school and having my 18 year old sister write me an excuse. Pretty good record considering the amount of ditching that was actually going on!

No, I didn't and neither did my brothers. Not to say we didn't do anything wrong. It's just we never got caught. It probably helped though that my mom taught in our district .

During my dark years (the years when I'd have a fight at least once a week) I attended Catholic schools. As long as the parents paid on time, and we didn't try to kill each other, the powers that be were happy.

Nope, I was never excused from school. I only had to go the principal's office once. Poor man.

I was "perfect" until my senior year when I finally had a car to drive. Then I skipped just about EVERY lunch I could. I even took my freshman brother with me every now and then. I didn't think of it as skipping school but as bonding time .

Only got caught once and my grandma ended up writing some excuse for me....bless her heart. Love ya Grandma!!!!!

Nope. Never did. I think I got detention twice, because I skipped lunch to hang around the art room and take care of a dying plant. Yes that is the reason I skipped! Yes they actually gave me detention TWICE for doing so.

High School ... No. And I never did anything that deserved it.

College ... Yes. And I most definitely DID deserve it. Luckily they took me back. And my lesson was learned!
