Have you ever been approached by a medium?

A little bit of back story, DH's father died 8-30. DH started a new job 9-15. No one at DH's new job knows about his father's death.

DH's coworker (we'll call her T) approached him today and said that she had received a message from "Mike" and asked if my DH knew him. DH couldn't figure out what T was talking about, as he knows a lot of Mikes.

T went on to say that Mike had approached her and told her that DH's father would be delivering a message to someone in their family soon. T said that Mike approached her more abruptly than any of the other "spirits" ever have.
She went on to explain to my DH every physical characteristic of his father- down to the scar on his nose (which I did not even know was there)

She said she saw his father in the background but since he is "cocooning" he couldn't come to her himself as he is still adjusting to his new life. So he sent Mike, which DH told me was one of his Dad's closest friends but died from rabies 10+ years ago, to deliver his message.

This lady knew things that she shouldn't have known- my DH is a very broad and robust fellow, while his father was very, very skinny. Physically, they have nothing in common.

She also said that from FIL's heart came a blue light, indicating that this is how he died.
We are still waiting on autopsy reports but the coroner on the scene believes it was a heart attack, which we haven't told anyone because it's not official yet.

...so uh.. anyone else ever had this happen??

I have been to 2 mediums in my life, both of whom were very accurate about things they had no way of knowing.

I do believe that there are people who, for whatever reason, are more sensitive or open to messages from others.

I know your DH has been having a difficult time, so I hope this gives him some peace.

As far as cause of death...usually when it is abrupt and unexpected, it is some kind of cardiac event.

Never had that happen. What do you and your DH think of all of it? It has to be startling. It's got to be hard to dismiss with so much inside knowledge. That could put someone in a tailspin!

Yeah, he was cleaning a deer I guess and knicked himself with the knife. The deer had rabies, and that is how he died.

We don't know what to think.

Not a medium, but a couple of times in my life i have been approached by people seeing my future-
the first was when I was a teenager and going thru some of life's tough times- My Mother had taken me on vacaation to the mountains to get away and relax and as we walked into a restaurant for breakfast one day, a man was coming out. He had a backpack on, he looked like a hitchhiker. As he passed me in the doorway, he stopped and grabbed my arm and said 'I have some thing to tell you." And I kind of pulled my arm away, staring at him. We both stood there- not knowing what the man was going to say and he began describing a dark headed man who was waiting for me, and went on to describe his traits and characteristics. He told me to wait for him, that he was out there, finding his way to me.
I was really shaken after that, I had gone to that vacation to make some decisions about a relationship I was in.
I came home and for a long while thought that he had described the guy I was seeing. He wasn't.
5 years later, I met my Husband and he was, to the letter, exactly what that man had described to me. I had forgotten all about the man, until one day after Dh and i began dating that my mom asked if I remembered the mountain man.

Another time, soon after my Dh and i started dating, we went on our first trip to see a friend of his in Florida. We went to a UF baseball game and went to the concession stand. As I stood there, prepared to order, a man behind the counter turned and looked at me. He said, "Miss, can I tell you your future?" and I thought he was going to say "You want a coke, a hot dog, blah blah blah"- and he looked at me and DH and started explaining details of our future together that have since occurred.
He said I was going to be accepted into nursing school- I already had a degree- but was waiting to get accepted into the nursing program- that Dh was going to be in sales- he was a HS teacher at the time- now he is in sales- he said that DH was going to be extremely successful- he is- that we'd get married (we weren't engaged yet) he said we'd have (and here he paused)- 3 kids- two girls and a boy. That's what we have. He said we would move around a lot- we do. He said other things but he was talking so fast that we can't remember them all.

However- I know that all that these 2 men said has come to fruition.

It's strange.

I know alot of it is just pure junk but I will tell you what happened to me many years ago: I worked at a very large company and there was said to be a medium that worked there, she was not in my circle of friends and for years never payed her any attention.

One day in the parking garage she came up to me as I was getting into my car and just simple said " be careful or you will lose something very precious to you" and then she walked off and I never said a word to her I just thought what a quack.

The next day, I blew my top with a client that had always gave me problems and I was fired because of it, I lost a job that I had for 5 years and loved. on my way home as I was crying I remembered the crazy ladies words.

A very dear friend of mine is intuitive, I dont think I would call her a medium but she can sometimes "see" things.

So one night my DH was tossing and turning in bed and waking me up constantly, so I went to sleep in my DD's bed who was away at a sleep over.
As soon as I got into her bed, I felt a warm sensation on my cheek. I have felt strange things in her room before so I got a little scared and just said out loud "go away" and the sensation on my cheek left.

So I was having lunch with my friend a few weeks later and told her about this incident, and she quickly said that someone had kissed me, then she said it was my father (who passed away when I was young). I almost wanted to burst into tears.

I had a friend that could do that. She could scare the crap out of people. I've seen her do it. Here are some things I've heard her tell people.

I can think of 3 people she told them of deaths coming to their family. One person she even told her the day they would have the funeral for her brother. She told her she would be praying for her on that day. She also told her that she needed to leave the reading and go home. That her family was trying to reach her(before cell phone where every where).

Another lady she told what she would be doing the day she got the call about her mother dying. She told her that she would be on a ladder putting up Christmas lights. She said be careful because your going to fall and break your leg. Sure enough guess what she was doing when she got the call about her mother? Yes she also broke her leg.

She told another friend of mine in April that she wouldn't get to spend the Holiday's with her father. That he would die before Halloween. He died the day before.

She has never told me about any death. She has called me up and said your car is about to break down. She said I know it's out of warranty, but take it back to the dealership when it happens. She even told me where I would be when it happened. I blew her off, as I never went up that road. Well sure enough, the first time I go up that road. I coast dead in the exact parking lot she said I would. I was like well hell! So I called the dealership and had them come pick up my car. My car was 1000 miles over warranty. But that morning, they had issued a recall on the fuel pumps for Neons. It was the fuel pump that had stopped on my car.

My mother had an employee to steal a chunk of money from her. The employee then jumped bail and went on the run. One day my friend called my mother one day and told her to hurry that she knew where the employee was. She told mama that she is packing and getting ready to leave. My mother called the detective at the sheriff's office. He turned around and called the Panama City PD and had them send a car to the hotel that my friend descried. Sure enough this employee was working there in housekeeping. But she was in the process of packing her stuff and leaving. She is now in prison and has been for several years with little chance of ever getting out.

She called us up one day after lunch and asked me if so and so was out to lunch. I told her yes. She then needed to talk to my mama. She told my mother that while so and so was at lunch so and so did some drugs. She said we needed to drug screen so and so. So we did. Sure enough, she came back positive.

I once was sitting in the waiting room at a hospital and I had a palm reader come up to me. He asked if he could read my palm. Sure, I wasn't going anywhere. He then tells me a bunch of stuff thats true. And then tells me that I won't ever get married. Oh well.

I have had a friend read my tarot cards. He has always been accurate.

She would ask people how much they wanted to know. If they didn't want to know about death she wouldn't tell them.
