Wow...everyone must be in the world or still asleep this morning!

I have been lurking lately...very busy and not enough time to post.

I will put out yummy breakfast items for all (including those Krispy Kreme donuts!) and some seriously strong coffee to wake everyone up!

Have a magical day!

Guilty, too, cajunfan!!!
Been too busy to post as I'm preparing for this weekend's show, etc.....but not to busy for a :grouphug:

mmausse...:rotfl: LOL! I LOVE IT!!!!! and you, of course! the only thing I'll "bring on" is lots of  and :love1:
Speaking of....I need to call you today!:badpc:
:teeth:

Looks like we've got LIZARDS heading out to the world!
HAPPY Birthday to DONNA on the 21st!!!!!!
WEAR your PIN!!!!!
:bday:

OH! All these goodies in the lounge! I really DO need a sugar HIGH for today!;) :p

Looks like Melissa has taken care of all our WL CL needs and requests and I'm still looking forward to a call/email from Rich M, concerning the January thingie!

Have a JOYous day!!!!!

I've been emailing back and forth with GF RPC and they've called me a couple of times, but I don't have a number to call them. I thought of a last minute request. Anyone know the number of the concierge or planners?

Hey! What pin are you referring to? Is there a special lounge lizard pin that I am unaware of? :)

Also, Melissa is the best! She takes good care of me via email when planning. She also handled our planning for the Poly stay last May but that is expected as they share resorts. :)

We put our deposit down for our January WL Concierge stay so I am ready to start planning.

Really happy to be returning home to WL. Not too far behind you BT!! Say hi to everyone on the 7th floor for me will ya????

Fred

Fred,

Howdy! I hope the Mrs. and your new daughter are doing great! The "Birthday Pin" that they are referring to I believe is a larger pin so you can get all that well deserved birthday attention! :teeth: At least, that's what I think it is from the description they gave earlier. Hhhmmmm - a LL pin? Now that's an idea - LOL!

DisneyNotes - GF CL Phone number is 407-824-1775.

Hey, Fred!!! Hope your little family is doing well! Donna's DH has a bet with her that she won't wear the "Happy Birthday" button that they pass out at the parks on her big day!! She has assured us here in the lounge that she intends to win that bet!;)

Hope you have a great time at your fave, WL!!! DD and I keep trying to book there, as we missed our July trip, but it's always booked up! We're gonna make it there eventually!::yes::

Thanks for the Krispy Kremes, cajunfan, MMMMM!!

Took it to Best Buy Tech Support & they couldn't even get it to start up in safe mode!! :( I know that I received NO restore discs, so I had to call hp & order restore discs $60), plus $20 S&H to have it FedEx'd overnight!! Our keys accidentally got locked into our van this past Sat. night & cost us $75, so our Disney funds are rapidly depleting before we even get there!! I've shed many tears this am. I'm also frantically searching for any friends who might have a full wedding gown underskirt to wear with my Elizabeth Swann costume for MNSSHP. I wouldn't mind purchasing one, but after all that's happened it's not an option right now.

Sorry to vent :( I know things could be A LOT worse & need to pray for wisdom at this time.

The good news is that I'm hosting a Longaberger basket party for my sister (currently living in a travel trailer) & she cleaned my house while I was gone!!

Praying for you sfbank

Off to do one of the many things I need to do, yet.

Have a :sunny: day!
:)
Deb

I'm feeling much better now, thanks for letting me vent a little!! :)

I will keep you in my thoughts...things will work out the way they are supposed to. Just remember that....

Computers....can never tell when they're going to give up the ghost! My laptop did the same thing, about two months ago....new hard drive....*grumble, grumble, grumble*...

Just dropping by to say Hi to everyone :wave2: :wave2:
Oh my so much going on....

Desiab, mom-rules, & KerryCM - I know you're are all at the BWI. How great is that!? :bounce: :Pinkbounc

Hope ya'll get a chance to meet. Can't wait to hear the details and pictures, yes we all want pictures of the mini meet.

VAgal & Donna - Happy Birthday :cheer2: :cake: :bday: belated and upcoming.
Donna - I just know you will wear the pin!

DisneyMom23boys - Wow! what a great letter pirate:
Do you guys celebrate "Talk Like a Pirate Day" on September 19th? My DD's 8th grade class did. They all had to wear paper Parrots on their shoulders during the day.

mmausse - So glad to "see" you up and about. I was so worried about you. And why is it I am not surprised by your "geekiness"? :earseek:

sfbank - Oh my, do take care of yourself!

BambiTamby - I am shocked by what you are going through with this suite for the marathon. I mean its not like you just tried to book it yesterday. PD princess: for a quick and equitable resolution. Best of luck on your next show. :goodvibes

Prayers PD and :grouphug: :grouphug: to all our family...

FYI-for anyone interested-we are cancelling our 2 WL Concierge rooms today (10/19/04).

Here are the details:
WL Cancel Thread

Just figured with all the Lizards that wish they could get away....here is a golden oportunity to try WL CL!

The CM's were so great-made him feel comfortable-turned the ball game on for him-gave him beer-fed him. What more could you ask for? LOL

Actually, he figured out that we probably saved a couple 100 a day in meals by having breakfast and snacks in the lounge and only one sitdown meal per day-usually costs us $100 for breakfast (4 adults-buffet) or about $200 per sitdown (HBD was about $250, CG was $280)-plus whatever we saved in beverages in a day (sodas, beer, wine, cordials, coffee and water)-didn't have to buy snacks or desserts. The lounge was generally peaceful and comfortable-a nice retreat and more space than sitting in your room.
This is actually the 3rd time we've stayed concierge but the first time he has ever made that comment!

GoofyJoofy - I'm so sorry to hear you've had cancel your plans. :( I hope you another time frame in mind....

Mom Rules - Sounds like you just had yourself a good ol' time. I'm glad you made it back home safe and sound.

Disney Notes - Have no fear, it's not hard to win DH's over once they go concierge. I haven't heard too many say theirs wouldn't do it again. ;) It's the food, the lounge and the service that drew mine in. My DH would rather stay full concierge for the desserts and cordials....that's how bad he's got it now. :p A little food motivated is he.

I hope you all have a good evening. I must hit the hay early...I have only one eye open right now as I'm typing this since the coffee is wearing off. I'm leaving out some double chocolate fudge brownies that I just took out of the oven for everyone along with some hot cocoa for those that need to take the chill off. I've left out some ice cold milk and vanilla ice-cream to go with brownies as well. Oh course, how I can forget! You'll need a little Kaluha to go with that which you can find on the other side board.

Pleasant dreams everyone! :wave2:

Sounds like you had a great time, welcome home, Mom Rules!

Did anybody notice BambyTamby's gift to me down there at the bottom? :teeth: Isn't it adorable? Thanks again, Bamby!! Even my DH liked that little touch I dragged him to the screen to see!

Still feeling fussy and crabby because there's nothing left to do for our planning. I just have to pick up a few things (video tape for the camera, etc) and get packed, but of course, it's too early for that - though it might stop Meredith from putting on shorts every morning!

I've been trying to order my Disney Dining Experience card to no avail, there's never any answer, and they haven't yet returned my calls. I'm afraid they're put off by the Cdn phone number, but I very clearly explained in my message that we just haven't reached the condo yet and DO have our Florida driver's licences and address...

I have one more midnight to work and then 6 days off. I hope to actually see my husband in that time; we've had 2 days off together in the last 6 weeks or so, and we're both frazzled and lonely.

I work every night with a tolerant and pleasant partner who is completely uninterested in anything Disney....:sad2: She makes me feel, oh.....I don't know.......:space: ....you know?

GoofyJoofy, I'm sorry you had to cancel your rooms, and I sure wish I could snap them up...I've had fantasies lately of surprising DH with WL rooms for a long weekend getaway (yeah, right, I have NEVER left my kids except for work and one overnight to a town half an hour away last month for a church retreat).

Am toying with the idea of changing our dinner PS for our second night from Chef Mickey's to somewhere else....the reviews are either wonderful or horrible, no in between. Yes, we're in it for the characters, but we'd certainly like something we can stand to eat...seriously considering a switch to 1900 Park Fare....opinions, anyone? We've never been in the Contemporary. The only thing is, we have breakfast at CRT that morning, so maybe it would be princess overload? I don't know...we don't have anything at the GF this trip...

We have these PS's:

November 28: Dinner at Boma, 5 p.m. (planning to scoot over from AK RIGHT after the Jungle Jammin' Parade - am I safe??)
November 29: Breakfast at CRT, 10:00 a.m.
Dinner, Chef Mickey's, 5:20 p.m.
November 30: Dinner at Ohana, 5 p.m. (then MVMCP)
December 1: Dinner at Mitsukoshi Teppanyaki Grill, 7 p.m.
December 2: Lunch at Whispering Canyon, 2 p.m. (birthday lunch for DsD before Grandma and Grandpa leave WDW)
Dinner - Beaches & Cream, probably, I don't know...we'll probably be at MGM, but with lunch at 2, don't know how hungry we'll be until quite a bit later
December 3: Boma for breakfast, 9:30 a.m. (when we surprise the kids with the news that we're not just there for breakfast, we're staying there for 2 more nights - they will think it's "going home day, because we'll have already packed up and everything."
Spoodles, 6:50 p.m.
December 4: Breakfast at Tusker House, Sunrise Safari (except DH, who gets to sleep in)
Crystal Palace, 4:20 p.m.
December 5: Counter service for lunch somewhere, probably, before heading back to Fort Myers.....

What do you think? We simply couldn't get much more in there; I definitely plan to check out the bakery in France, and maybe a dessert at Le Cellier one evening...desserts are hard, though, with Meredith's (and mine, too) dairy allergy. So many tempting things we can't have. Beaver tails are safe, though!! (and familiar, I grew up in Ottawa, Canada!)

Our itinerary includes Fantasmic/Osborne Lights the first night, SpectroMagic and Wishes the second, MVMCP the third, the Pirate Adventure for Caroline the 4th morning, IllumiNations that night, nothing specifically the 5th night (maybe Fantasmic again), Candlelight Processional the 6th night, Sunrise Safari the 7th morning....

I still have to figure out when we're going to get to see the Electrical Water Pageant.

We rather doubt we'll make it to Typhoon Lagoon, but I'm trying to keep our very last day open, at least, hoping it might be possible. I just don't have a lot of confidence that it'll be warm enough, but if it is, we'd really like to experience that for the first day.

This is getting really long, and really all it means is....I'm lonely and want to talk Disney till I drop...

Could somebody please tell me that POR will be wonderful, too, and that I won't spend the time there crossing days off the calendar till we can get to AKL CL for our last two nights?

Kris

Everyone has different opinions of course so I hope that nobody takes offense to mine. :) Besides....you know what they say about opinions right??? :teeth: ::yes::

I would say skip Chef Mickey's for dinner. It's a great place for breakfast but the two times we tried it for dinner were enough for us to know it's not for us. It's a little TOO nuts for us at night. I can handle that in the morning with coffee but at night I am starting to wind down and can't handle all the dancing and stuff.

I also didn't find the food that wonderfull. Large selection of course but nothing that stood out and made me remember it.

We've never had dinner at Boma or Park Fare but I would try either of them before I ate dinner at CMs again. (We love both Park Fare AND Boma for breakfast!!!)

Hope this helps.

Just stopping in for some cordials. Very bad day today. Done nothing but cry. My very good friend and roommate from college had a very serious medical issue recently-she is in critical condition and has had to have multiple surgeries. She is still in a medication induced coma. Please keep her in your prayers. Unable to tell the rest-can't upset anyone alse today. I feel guilty for going away. I'm trying to still be excited to go away, but its hard. Hope everyone else is okay and I didn't mean to bring the lounge down. Just needing some prayers for her. She has 2 small kids.
Storybookmum-love your new little clippie.
Majestic-How's that beautiful baby and beautiful big sister?
Lots of hugs and kisses for your families tonight.

STORYBOOKMUM, We are going to be going on the Sunrise Safari the same day you and your family are going. Hope to see you then.
SAMNBILLY: Sorry to hear about your friend.Prayers coming your way.
I have changed our dining plans after I saw they all were buffets. So now we are eating at Le Cellier the night we go to CP.

Everyone have a good night.

Samnbilly, I'm so terribly sorry to hear this awful news about your friend. Please know that we are praying right now for full and speedy healing, and comfort and peace to her family and friends, especially for her little ones. May God be with you all and strengthen you in this crisis.

nrslady, how nice to know that we'll be there at the same time! You'll be looking for me (5'7", medium build, longish brown hair), DsD, 13, about my height, long wavy brown hair, DD6, extraordinarily beautiful, very thin blonde, and DD3, the almost 40" brunette trying to climb over the side of the bus to get out and play with the giraffes and zebras....I WILL have my DIS nametag! I guess there's a maximum of 24 people, so I can't imagine we'll have trouble finding one another!

If I could just figure out how to paste a pic, I would...I'm going to keep working on it, actually....

Kris

samnbilly: prayers and PD coming your way....don't feel guilty, I think it is safe to say your friend wouldn't want you to.

storybookmum: I think you will really like POR. It sounds really neat to me, and a real change from AKL, which is cool because you can experience two totally different things!

Welcome back mom_rules - glad you had a super time!

Hope everyone at WDW is having fun, and everyone who has been suffering from the crud is putting it behind them.

Nighty-night to all......my DS is calling for his mommy-night-night-book so I must be off.
LOL
