HAPPY Belated Birthday VA-Gal - I hope it was joyous and extra-special. Haven't we had the most perfect weather lately? Today was especially gorgeous with the changing leaves - we're about 30 mins from each other - and you're right, living in VA is the best!

I spoke briefly with BT a couple of weeks ago. Next time when the docs tell me no speaking for 2 weeks, I won't disobey. After the weekend from Hades with my cat and all, I thought I knew more than my docs. WRONG!! I lost my voice completely AGAIN and was put on the most dreadful medicine. Ick!!

But I can talk now and am reasonably back in the swing of things. I got the results of my experimental knee stuff - it didn't take. SO in 2 months they'll try again.

Happy Halloween everybody! And safe trips to all going to and fro to The World! I have to gear up for my own charity event. I'm hosting 100 people for a brunch and seminar to raise money for educating young girls and woman in pursuit of higher education as well as empowerment of women. Yeah, I can do this. It's on October 30 - OMG! that's in less than 2 weeks - Ok, time to go and stick my head in freezer. Isn't that what you're supposed to do when someone says to "Chill Out....."

I choose the ultra-comfy leather massage chair, if you please. I haven't been to sleep yet since my last post - working hard on new project. Although I think I may now leave for a couple of hours of shut-eye.

For the early risers to the Lounge, I leave fresh english muffins with freshly whipped butter, homemade jams from the farm, cinnamon buns, and fresh Kona coffee - fully leaded of course. Oh heck, I'llleave the french toast and eggs benedict too! Talk with you all later!

Hi!

I'm putting out a plea for anyone with computer knowledge!! ACK!! My hp Pavilion zt1135 has been shutting off on it's own lately & the disc drive has been saying it's busy, but won't read the CD/DVD.

The one time after it "turned itself off" I erbooted it, but now I get a black/white screen that says that windows was not shut down properly & asks to choose from 4 options (start in safe mode, normally, etc.) I've tried different things, but it keeps coming back to that same screen!! I have an instore warranty through Best Buy, but am afraid that they'll send it off to be fixed!! I NEED the laptop to download the ##### pictures that I'm going to take with my digital camera.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. I'm going to try contacting tech support, etc.

3 days until we leave!!

Deb-I can't help with the computer problem but just wanted to suggest if you can't get it fixed you can always to go Walmart or CVS and burn your photos onto a CD for pretty cheap-something like 3.95. You can also do it at a Disney photo shop but of course that is a lot more money. I plan to just bring enough memory-I think I've got enough for 400+ photos. Best of luck!

samnbilly-get packing! Its a good feeling to know its nearly complete. Now I just have to finish Peter Pan so I can pack him and plan breakfast and lunch for our travel day. I'll keep an eye out for Cindy & Harry on the 26th.

DisneyMom23Boys - Hate to say it, but that sounds like a virus to me. We've been having some virus problems, lately, and they're a real pain to get rid of. If you can't even get it to reboot, I guess you can't run Spybot or Adaware, huh?! My sons both work on computers, and have to go de-bug for people quite often. You might try calling your local high school to ask if they have any kids who work on computers, you probably need someone who knows how to get rid of the darned things. Good luck - HTH!!

Hey all you lizards. This is hoping that all trips are going well and everyone is ok. I was working on Disney planning about 9:30 last night. Next thing I knew I had a room full of paramedics and first responders and a very worried husband. Apparently I had a seizure-1st time ever. I still don't remember anything but spent the night in the er. Had a CAT scan, and appt this morning to set up for an EEd. DH was mad because I insisted he drive me to work so I could get some things done before my appt. So now the rest of the week, I can't drive myself,stay by myself with DD--fun fun fun! My SIL will take me to work but I just feel helpless!!

Hi

Took it to Best Buy Tech Support & they couldn't even get it to start up in safe mode!! I know that I received NO restore discs, so I had to call hp & order restore discs $60), plus $20 S&H to have it FedEx'd overnight!! Our keys accidentally got locked into our van this past Sat. night & cost us $75, so our Disney funds are rapidly depleting before we even get there!! I've shed many tears this am. I'm also frantically searching for any friends who might have a full wedding gown underskirt to wear with my Elizabeth Swann costume for MNSSHP. I wouldn't mind purchasing one, but after all that's happened it's not an option right now.

Sorry to vent I know things could be A LOT worse & need to pray for wisdom at this time.

The good news is that I'm hosting a Longaberger basket party for my sister (currently living in a travel trailer) & she cleaned my house while I was gone!!

I was gone until noon today, as DS had yet another evaluation. It's DD b-day and I just got to see her then and off for a nap she went! Good thing her Auntie watched her and brought two Dora videos and stickers!! Her cough is just horrible but no fever. Hopefully she'll enjoy her b-day festivities which are set to begin at 5pm!

My SUV is in the shop again so I was driving my dd's car to work. I am thinking that thing has too much power for her! LOL Glad that option was open to me, though! Tomorrow I'll be in something even smaller till they get it fixed CORRECTLY! I asked DH who worked on my car and I couldn't believe the answer he gave. He almost fired this same guy last month for a similar problem!

Spoke with the chef today at the BC and she was very helpful with my DD peanut allergy issues-still haven't heard from the chef at the GF. Finally booked my transfers the other day. I need to e-mail them at the BC and just re-verify everything. Boy, my counter is looking really nice right now!

I know what you have and I'll be only TOO happy to share - you don't have a virus - THAT's the good news. The bad news is worse - you have a worm. Specifically you have the Sasser worm - a very destructive "virus-like" baddie. Unlike a virus, which usually just goes after com, dll, and lib files, the Sasser goes after data files as well as .exe and worse, programs! You can get a free fix from almost anywhere as long as you can access the internet. If you can't access the internet, let me know I have a couple of copies of the Sasser-fix on CD that I can also download to a 3.5" floppy.

Now you say your CD/DVD drive isn't being recognized. I guess when you got your HP you didn't make the mandatory restore discs they advise EVERYONE to make! I have a Pavillion laptop but can't get copies of the discs to you in time (pre-trip). Did you ask HP to make sure they send you the OS (usu WIN OEM vs) that way you can run your PC. Without a legal vs of WIN you're sortof left out in the cold again.

OK, so now my secret's out to all you lounge lizards. I'm a Geek and a Nerd! (the closest I could come to expressing myself)! Yes, I find PC's to be fun and exciting (that "might" explain the 7 I have in my house.........then again, maybe not).

So bring it on Lizards, only for you all (because of your kind thoughts and wishes) will I offer free assistance to potentially remedy your PC issues and questions. PM if you want.

I have put out the Bailey's and Hypnotiq as well as the peach custard pie - ok, so the desserts are on the really "modified" Atkins in the Lounge?!?!
