I am not sure if it is the same at Poly, but Channel 20 was Radio Disney! I guess then it would pipe in the Wishes music when it was on!

Just popping in to say bye! I'm off to Las Vegas for a tradeshow, and I'll be back on Friday. Don't have too much fun without me! ;) I'll leave out some of the coconut bread from the Poly CL with some Kona coffee as I go. :wave2:

WOW - had an e-mail from Poly IPO this AM at 6:59 Chicago time, so Tara must have sent it literally the minute she walked into the office. Perhaps things are turning around there after all.

Have a good trip, Elizabeth! It's not WDW, but Vegas has it's merits, too.

I'm off to the farmers' market, wearing lots of layers 'cuz it's COLD here. Leaving out fresh hot scones as promised, traditional and lemon-poppyseed, plus clotted cream, homemade cloudberry jam and thick cut bitter orange marmalade. If there's any left we'll warm them up this afternoon for tea.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY VaGal:cake: :cake: :bday: :bday: I was out yesterday so I missed ya! There are a lot of libras in this lounge!
Well, Alana called yesterday from BC-I missed her call so I'm going to call in a few minutes-just thought I'd pop in.Leaving out some nice chocolate chip pancakes that I made for my DD-who still has the "crud" How long could this crud last?
My DH is taking me out for a wonderful Anniversary dinner (ours was yesterday-10years!)
Have a wonderful day all!

Well, we leave in less than 24 hours for AKL concierge!!!! Andrea called yesterday and everything is set for our arrival. She is such a sweetheart!!!

Great big thanks to all of my fellow lounge lizards for your friendly responses to my concierge novice questions and for your contagious enthusiasm for Disney Concierge; it has helped me become even more excited for our first stay in concierge!

I will report about our stay upon our return.:teeth: :teeth: :teeth: :teeth:

akghutton:bounce: Have fun!!:bounce: (you will;) )

samnbilly Happy Anniversary! So many here have celebrated their 10th recently:teeth:

steveanddonna the scones are scrumptious!::yes:: Hope the Farmer's Market is fun:sunny:

Have a wonderful Saturday everyone:wave:

*big wave* Yes, I agree we're all "family" here! *or no one else will admit to taking us in.... LOL* Thanks for reminding me of that, Johsonset!

Bambi! Way to go, Girl! You're #1 in our book! Now you need to take a few days to rest!

Obviously I haven't been to the Poly, but I haven't read anything about a channel having the "Wishes" soundtrack. I know that the CT does. Channel 20 at Pop was stated as the pop channel, but was empty. I believe 20 at AKL was what we called "safari mood channel", aka the channel about the resort (and what turndown would put on!) It sounds like channel 20 is a resort only channel but only has anything on it if they have something to put there.

DS won another game last night! *I almost wrote that word about winning all games to date, but I erased it in fear it would jinx us!* ahhh hockey superstitions!

I love reading about everyone's plans! Keep them coming! I have nothing in the works and won't for some time! *but it could happen....LOL*

Happy Saturday!
Debbie
PS McDonalds has mini Madame Alexander Disney dolls in their happy meals!

yummy! All these goodies left out for the morning offerings!
What to choose?oh, well....one of everything will do! LOL!:teeth:

Got an interesting call from Guest Services about our Poly Princess Suite "fiasco". they found us a 1 bed suite at the AKL CL, it'll be a little less than the Poly.
Did I miss something?
DH says when ever they bump you "out" a room, wouldn't you think they would bump you "up" a room catagory?
His words....."you would THINK they would have an alternative suite when they FIRST called us!"

After talking to Josephine at GS, she found us a suite at the 14th floor CR....!!! Well, when she tried to book it, we were refused because DIsney has BLOCKED that whole floor for two weeks.
OK......let's try the GF.....same thing!
Now, Melissa at Poly IPO initially told me that they had blocked rooms at GF/CR for us....and NOW we can't have one of them?

Sorry to vent! I'll have a latte and sit down in on of these plush sofas that hockeymom put in our new lounge!:teeth:

akghutton...Yippee! Enjoy the AKL CL!!!!!
Andrea is so wonderful! Heck! THEY ALL ARE!

AKL CL is looking very good to us right now!
I'm starting to feel like Kerry and Debbie.
Just stay at Epcots and AKL CLs.

But, I AM looking forward to our December WL CL trip!
And GoofyJoofy and GoofyMuse...we'll meet up!
I'll PM you my cell number before the trip and we'll make a "date" for ice cream or somethingie!::yes::

ead....Have fun in Vegas! Remember....what happens there, stays there! :p
Those trade shows are alot of work! I know!
I've gotten our little post-marathon dinner planned and will tweek our plans later!:wave2:

So sorry also, I left out another new lizard!
WELCOME to the LIZARD LOUNGE, Disney Notes!!!

steveanddonna...WEAR THE PIN!!!!!:goodvibes
One of my favorite Disney memories was our Poly CL trip in November 2002 for my b-day! CM gave me one of the HUGE pins and it was so fun to have alot of CMs wish me Happy b-day!
You even forget you have it on until someone says "Happy Birthday!" while smiling at you!:sunny:

Goofy's Muse...."Oh, what a tangled web..." I'm still  over that one! What a neat suprise you and Joe have planned! I LOVE it!:charac4:

Thank You everyone for the Anniversary wishes-you guys are all SO sweet!:grouphug:
I don't have much time-there is a CLOSET WAR to be won. I hate to find clothes to go out to dinner in. I'm used to jeans or scrubs. That's the extent of my wardrobe lately.
I spoke to BC IPO today and FINALLY booked my transfers. They booked a town car with Trio-Trans-anyone use this company recently?
Finishing up my last minute shopping for stuff we need on vacation. Getting SO close-I can't stand it.
I think we have some LL away now. Can't wait to hear their trip details.
BAMBI-sending a suite filled with PD your way for your room dilemma. Don't they know who you are? This has to be resolved. We're going to have to OFFICIALLY call in the LL if this can not be fixed. Off to dinner-Have a great night!:wave2:

Hi!

This week I was definitely in the pirate mood (our whole family is dressing as disney movie pirates for MNSSHP for 26th). Thanks for the e-mail info. concerning the room request letter!! Even if none of our requests are able to be accomodated, it was fun writing this letter!! :)

Thank you all for the warm welcome to the Lizard Lounge!! We look forward to our first concierge experience. This is what I sent (sorry for upper/lower case mixture - I composed in a Caribbean Caps font):

Re: Mr. & Mrs. Mel F. & Sons Arrival Date – Friday, October 22, 2004
Tower Club Reservation #

Hi!

I’m Mel Fansler (I’ll be dressed as Captain Jack Sparrow at Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party on the 26th). My family & I will be leaving PA Thursday afternoon to enjoy our first night’s stay at your Contemporary Resort. My family includes my wife, Deb (Elizabeth Swann) and our 3 sons Cameron (11 – Captain Hook), Codey (9 - Mr. Smee) & Conner (5 - Peter Pan).

We will be driving all through the night for 17 hours and hope to arrive around 8-10 am on Friday. If it’s possible, we’d appreciate if our room would be ready so we could take a quick nap in our beds. But, I know that you are booked solid with the Funai Classic & Epcot’s Food & Wine Festival (we’ve been trying to reserve a lower rate room at the Contemporary for the past several months, but are just grateful to have a room there at all), so we understand that you may not be able to accommodate us that early.

If our room isn’t available, is there somewhere we could freshen up & change into swimwear to relax & nap by the pool? Also, would we be able to get some snacks & drinks on the Tower Club Concierge Floor? (we’ve never stayed in any type of Concierge before, so this is new to us).

Our sons are looking forward to staying in the Tower Club & are asking if they may please have a room with a view of Cinderella’s Castle. They hope to see Tinkerbell (we know it will be the witch on that evening) during the fireworks at 9:15 from our balcony. On our last visit (May, 2003) our sons were able to see the Magic Kingdom’s “Kiss Goodnight” from their bed pillows – a truly magical first night to a wonderful family vacation! – Thank you for the Pixie Dust!!

We are looking forward to eating at Chef Mickey’s and then some fun at the pin trading event there at the Contemporary from 7-9pm.

Unfortunately, we will only have 1 night with you. In the morning we will enjoy some time at the Magic Kingdom & breakfast at Cinderella’s at 9:55 am. Then we’re off to check-in at Old Key West for the remainder of our stay (until Saturday).
If you would like to see us in our costumes before we head to the Magic Kingdom for dinner at the Liberty Tree Tavern (5:15pm PS) and Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party on Tuesday, the 26th, please leave a message on our room phone & we’ll try to stop by around 4:30, or so. I only hope that we look better in our costumes than we do in person!!

Thank you, in advance, for making the first night of our magical Disney vacation truly filled with pixie dust!! We know that wherever we are & whatever we do, Disney magic happens if we just believe!!

Goodbye & see you then!
The F.’s – Mel, Deb, Cameron, Codey & Conner (aka CJ)
a.k.a. Captain Jack Sparrow, Elizabeth Swann, Captain Hook, Mr. Smee & Peter Pan

P.S. I hope that you enjoyed reading this as much as we enjoyed writing it (and that it made sense)!!

P.S. Ask to see our family’s HUGE Disney Autograph Book, if you’d like.

samnbilly we have used Trio Trans and they are great! I will be booking them again in December. Don at AKL CL originally booked our town car service thru them in October 2003. They were terrific, so I used them again this July. Very prompt and professional - sweet drivers - and nice cars. In fact, in July we flew into a different side of Kissimmee Gateway Airport than usual and the poor driver was on the opposite side...real pain for him, had to go all the way around (via highway, I think) to reach us, be buzzed in, etc. He was just as sweet as he could be. Not put out, mad, anything. He was a real dear.:sunny: I highly recommend them:teeth:

In our mailbox today I was surprised to find a wonderful, blue and white envelope chock full of vacation documentation.

:goodvibes: :goodvibes:

We recieved our check-in docs, all of our special events vouchers and Tinkerbell luggage tags! wooooo-wooooo!

We're going to Walt Disney World!!

Don't you just love "Mickey Mail"?::MickeyMo

Deb, I love the room request letter pirate: that is too cute. It's got to be one of the best that I've ever read. I can't imagine the room assignors not getting a big kick out it. I hope you get everything you were looking for.

Have a wonderful trip and fill us in when you get back.

Tammi

Wish we had received our envelope of documents in the mail. We leave a week or so before you do and nothing has come in the mail.

Hmmmm...that's odd. Are you on a package or room only?

VAGal....Happy Birthday! We used to drive "Skyline Drive", when we lived in Virginia, each autumn....truly beautiful!

2 basic packages, 1 room only stay and 1 cruise. Four vacations back to back because they didn't offer a package like this, I made my own. Still nothing in the mail. I did call last week to make sure all was ok with the reservations and everything was fine. Guess I'll call back to see about the paperwork.
