samnbilly The IPO for the Epcot resorts is so wonderful. They are very promt in answering your e-mails and getting your PS for you. I have always gotten everything I wanted when they book things. Have them book your transfers. It was great, no calling around and you know they will be there for you! I got my confirmation # sent to me with my itinerary.

VAgal I think I like my job at the Disney Store better! Thanks anyway I am not very literate when it comes to computers. I go see the doctor again this Thursday, so maybe he will let me work.

*big wave hello* It is your black sheep value friend coming by to say hello! (Oh I'd give anything to make it a third concierge stay at AKL this year!) I have nothing to add to the concierge questions, but really wanted to stop in and say hello, and spread some P and PD around this place! I will get a better dishwasher since it seems we're passing around the same cold germs, and maybe that will make our more serious problems go away, too!

Leaving extra kleenux boxes out on the end tables; I miss you guys!

woah! Single digits! I knew we were close but work has been so hectic I haven 't thought about it. I heard from my GP's and they weathered another one fine, though they also mentioned many of our old hangouts and favorite beach spots were in drastic conditions. They mentioned the only thing wrong with my mom and aunt on the other coast was a day long power outage, so nothing big.

Now here's my question of the day..... For some reason, GF lodge concierge is booked for early May. Does anyone know if you can book a standard room or lodge tower room in one of the lodges and pay extra for concierge service??? And, we've gone in early May before. Why do you think it might be booked already? (This would be before the 50th celebration). Incidentally, we booked 14th floor for Dec. 2005....SOOOOO excited about that!!!

ead79--I am jealous!! Fresh cookies, huh?? Well, I just started the Atkins diet a week ago so I can't have any anyway! I decided not to split our stay between two resorts. We just love the Boardwalk too much, I guess!

KerryCM--Hope you are feeling better. Let me know how your trip goes and what the offerings are. There are just three of us. We stayed in a regular room last time. Should I get a deluxe?? I thought about splurging...we would like a Boardwalk view. What are your thoughts? Do you still get robes, turndown, etc in a regular concierge room?? Thanks

Most of the top-notch rooms are already booked the first half of May for the 50th. They're probably just "blocked" right now, just keep calling, calling, calling!

(That's a big reason the Lizard Meet isn't until May 15th!
We couldn't get rooms/suites!!!!!)

LOL! I SAY we can't do December since we are in the retail business....and here we are going this December!
Actually, the first week of December is awesome!

That would be neat. I always think that it would be fun to have a bigger group but I can't ever get any of my family talked into going. Of course my sister, brother, and their families as well as Mom and Dad all think I am nuts!!! Only people dedicated to this sight could understand that! I offered to pay for my Mom & Dad to go with us but my Dad does not like to travel. The six golf courses could not even get him down there. I would like to get to meet other from this board while we are there. We'll see!!!

Oh my! So many wonderful treats out tonight - where do I start? Let me have a big glass of red wine and then I'll decide! Well I told sis all about the Lizard Lounge and she thinks I am certifiable. "You actually correspond with total strangers about our trip?" she asked in disbelief. "Why yes and I even have drinks and desserts with them - occasionally breakfast!" I hope she tells her DH- maybe he'll back out of the trip! I think I have her convinced we should stick with the suite - after all, this is about mom and dad's 75th birthdays!

Had a follow-up e-mail from Alana at BWI. She couldn't get our CP package for the 4th of Dec. so not sure what to do. Do more packages open up like with Fantasmic as we get closer to the date? I've been very impressed with BWI's planning office. Now the GF IPO is another story. After a few e-mails I finally spoke with Denny a couple of weeks ago and made a couple requests (most of our PS's were made already). I e-mailed another request a week ago and have not heard anything. I'm sure Jeanne has everything backed up but BWI was able to respond. I'll give it another day or two.

I still can't believe I'm going to Disney twice in 7 weeks - Pixie Dust heaven!

Alana is fantastic! There will be cancellations the closer it gets.
She was able to get us an Illuminations cruise two weeks before the August trip, so she'll be on top of it if you tell her that you want it!

I've gotten my return emails and all my PS's from GF IPO, but they lack the "extra" enthusiasm that the Epcot and AKL IPO CMs have.
Travis and Denny have been very helpful though!

edited to add.....looks like we'll be opening another bottle tonight!

I feel totally overwhelmed having not posted in the past couple of days! Things are moving fast here
samnbilly A.C./Borgata is DH's Disney World! He has already been to Borgata three or 4 times. He used to stay at Bally's (I've been there a couple of times). He is thrilled about Borgata - says it blows the others out of the water!! Last trip he discovered in conversation that the pit boss in the high rollers' section is our next door neighbor's sister!! It's a Small World After All! Anyway, HAVE FUN!!

In another thread there are some unhappy reports about Poly concierge that are making me kind of nervous. It is our first time staying there and my mom was kind of iffy about me doing concierge. Please tell me to shaddup and stop worrying before I completely freak and move us to a different resort.

Shalida....I know about the other thread as I have posted my thoughts about the Poly CL.
but, for every negative opinion you'll find a positive one.

steveanddonna and Tess love the Poly CL and stay only there.

I've just had some recent problems with them and they do need to look at their managament "glitches".

I'm sure you'll be fine there.

Hi everyone! Thanks to all who shared their thoughts and helped us make a decision regarding our trip in JUST a few days.

My DH and I talked tonight and WE ARE A GOIN. No matter what we are going. It is our 25th wedding anniversary, we are staying ALK CL for 6 nights, have ps's for boma, sunset safari, and much more. How, can we let the possibility of a little ole storm keep us from our first trip to THE WORLD!

So I'm going to pour a glass of wine and write out a list of things I must do before the Limo picks us up next Friday morning to take us to the airport

Debbie - Hope you are feeling better! Also sending prayers and pd for your work situation.

BT - you sound like you are feeling better. Don't work too hard this weekend

Woody RU - So good to see you back in the lounge And your up on your feet cooking too. Seriously you are in my prayers.

A rather OT question-we wanted to spend a day in Daytona Beach (all the times we've been to WDW we have never ventured to a beach).

Any idea of what kind of shape it's in these days? Should we go elsewhere for the day? (Only want to drive max of 1-1/2 hours
one way).

To suite at AKL or GF that is definitely a hard decision. After BT telling me room locations I'm really leaning towards AKL and just getting 2 rooms in the main building at GF.

Debbie - You're not the black sheep around here. I agree, a trip to WDW at POP is better than no trip at all!!!!!
