DF, Yep, that's the castle I've got. I love it! I believe I bought it at Downtown Disney about 2 years ago and have loved having it on my tree ever since. That Electrical Parade collection is so cool! I was wistfully looking at the Kathrine Baumann website, and I found a purse that you should ask for for your next anniversary. It's SO CUTE!

Ead...~ :o Have that Carriage, and the SLIPPER too!! I truly want the Minnie Mouse STATUE OF LIBERTY purse. K. Baumann did only three in all GREEN, and I wanted one of those. They were SOLD-OUT before I even received the notice. I DID buy DD a Special~Order GREEN VW BEETLE Purse and coin purse (mini) this past Christmas, along with a Baumann Cat Minaudiere as well (I said I was HOPELESS!). I have the entire KB Coca~Cola collection (The CAN is my FAV), the Barbie set, Campbell soup, etc. They are SO much fun to wear!

I also have CELLS, Disney ART... (It never ends!!). And a special Carousel from D~land. I thought EVERYONE had these trinkets in their homes (?).

I'm so glad you enjoy these...they provide me with SO much fun!! I appreciate all your kind comments. It's so nice to share with all of you, especially knowing you all appreciate the *DISNEY~THING!* They truly brighten my days, and always put a SMILE on my face. They are EVERYWHERE, in nearly EVERY ROOM. Oh, and I have a collection of those Arribas Bros. DISNEY figurines, with S. Crystals! I'm a total ADDICT!

#1hockeymom~Which one should I bring for SHOW & TELL to the TEA?

johnsonet~I'm sure you can find one. They are so cute!! Here's another Sorceror Mickey I'm sure you'll like!!

inthemood LOL! I'm a 43 year old aunt & I love my Keen Newports, too! Bought them for boating, but wear them everywhere. I am an admitted shoe-a-holic, though - I have to switch off with my Merrells, Cole-Haan G-Series and Eccos for comfort, then wear some cute but stupid little things when I'm feeling like a diva.

DF99 your photos are fabulous! I love peeping at others' collections. I "collect" vicariously by buying things I love as gifts for friends & family, 'cuz I go crazy with too much stuff around the house. All our nieces and nephews get a Steiff animal from us when they are born, but believe it or not, I never thought of doing the Disney characters -duh! Hope someone gets pregnant soon so I can remedy that!

Holy COW!!, DF99!!
I MUST have the Steiff Bambi as well:crazy: (or is that Faline?) Yes - the Sorcerer Mickey is readily available. Thanks! Wow! It's like Christmas looking at your beautiful things:earsgirl:

I too...LOVE, LOVE, LOVE SHOES!!! I'm no Immelda Marcos...but close! (LOL). I hope you make it in a Hallmark this weekend for the Ornament Premier. One in particular...has your name on it!!! It's the "Queen of Shoes" by Sue Tague ($12.95), and will be available in October. It's TOO cute for words:

I've have Steiff animals from my Childhood, and began to purchase more when DD was born. I also began to collect Muffy VB (& NABCO), Eden Toys MADELINE items, American Girls, etc. It's such a joy to acquire items which evoke such deep emotions and memories. :goodvibes

Our Anniversary always occurs while we are at WDW. We select something extra~special to commemorate our DAY. :lovestruc This year, I believe I'll select a special DISNEY CLOCK from the Japan Pavillion! Each summer, DH & I stand mesmerized by these incredible creations. The effects and detail are absolutely astounding, the craftsmanship superb. There are two in particular...so we'll have to decide on the one we FEEL suits us best! ;) I'm sure some of you have seen these whimsical & unique timepieces. If not...they are worth a gander.

Also, I'm intending to purchase a butterfly case from the Key West conservatory. We found the entire room of displays to be overwhelmingly relaxing and soothing to the eyes. Therefore, we would like to have the same in our home. Here's a look~see @ the WINGS of Imagination....

johnsonet~Yes!! I believe they are still available. Just ask guest relations to assist you *(or Concierge!). Also, that is Bambi & the GANG! Too sweet! I have Rudolph too. I'll post more when I return from the trip. So happy you enjoy the pics...I have a soft spot for these TOYS!! :cloud9:

Vacation...HERE I COME!!! :teeth: :hyper:

OH!dreamflight! We WERE separated at BIRTH!!!!:earsgirl: :earsgirl:

You photos of your collectables ARE fabulous!!! I LOVE THEM ALL!

Every lighted cabinet in our house has some of the same collectables! but, not near as many as your impressive collection!

I even have the logo "Fine Ladies Apparel, Accessories & Collectables" on my store front!

Some folks wander in, thinking I have antiques (which I do! I often use antique tables and bookcases to display my treasures for sale!) but, I happily tell them that these purses, designer jackets, sweaters, shawls, jewelry, vintage purses and such, etc...ARE the collectables!

Get packing, SISTA! But, like me, you'll just buy it, if you forget it....or just buy it anyways!;) :p

Please have a SAFE and wonderful journey and we look forward to your return to the lounge!

DF99...now that I have picked my chin up off the floor, those pictures are truely SPECTACULAR!!!!

Thanks so much for sharing them! I have a special fondness for all things parade...having grown up in New Orleans ...you know that Mardi Gras thing:teeth: .

Hey BT and SteveandDonna hope we can work something out...it would be great to meet some of the folks that have made this trip so special by sharing their stories, insights and wisdom!:sunny:

DF99 ROTFLOL!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: DH saw her in my Dream Book last month and said, "hey that's you - they don't have a Shoe King, do they?" I have taught DH well and now I am married to a straight man who loves shoes, shopping and Disney! Could I get any luckier?! I think the shoe obsession started when I hit 40 and it got harder to find cute, unique clothes that fit and didn't make me look like I borrowed them from a teenage relative. I switched gears to shoes and jewelry, 'cuz I still wear the same size in those!

THANKS FOR THE WARM WELCOME!

As part of planning the trip I am helping a friend create a budget conscious, yet memorable anniversary surprise for his wife. I could use some suggestions on that front.

desiab - I was not sure you ever got responses on this. Here are some ideas from an almost romantic guy.

He can plan a special dinner, either room service or nice restaurant. When he makes a PS he should tell them it is a surprise anniversary for his DW. He pre-order a special dessert maybe with a candle.

He can arrange to have flowers delivered to the room by WDW Florists. They are located at http://www.disneyflorist.com . Imagine coming home (to the resort) after a day of touring the parks and DW finding a floral arrangement waiting for her in her room.

Well that's all I got. Hope these inspire you and your friend to think of something to fit not just the mood, but the personalities involved. Good Luck

And tell him Happy Anniversary from me.

Always interesting to get other points of view.

Oh! GoofyJoofy....! you ARE a romantic guy!!!!::yes::
your DW and DD's are very lucky to have such a wonderful husband and daddy!

thanks for providing WDW florist's link!:wave2:

steveanddonna...ROTFL :rotfl: about those shoes!
now, I'll be checking out your FEET when I meet ya'll next month!
cajunfan...any ideas about a lizard get-together?
PM me or donna if you have any suggestions!:sunny:

Please help yourselves to the coffee, juices, fresh cut fruits, and the assorted danishes, bagels, muffins, cereals.......

Bambi Tamby,

Do you know where John Edwards was staying in WDW when John Kerry called him?

I wonder what concierge lounge he was enjoying when his vacation was interrupted. Could it have been GF, AKL, Poly, Cont. or around Epcot? I think this info. could tell us more about this candidate.

Has anyone heard?

Lori

:p

I just reserved a one nights stay at AKL (standard view), and thinking about upgrading to concierge at check in. Very excited!!!!! :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

That sounds wonderful, Tammy! Might I suggest that if you are taking an extended trip you tack on your concierge day to the end rather than the beginning of your trip so you can really enjoy the lodge to its fullest!

Big wave to all! I had a peek at my counter earlier and it says 10 days! *tomorrow I'll be in single digits!*

Have a wonderful day!
Debbie

Hockeymom: I have scheduled this for our arrival day and have nothing else planned so we will enjoy the lounge and resort fully.:p

Tammy, that sounds great! Be sure to have some yummy Zebra Domes for me. :)

woo hooo! First day, no plans works too! Even my 10 (he's 11 now and will tell you how many months into 11 he is) has said that he could have spent all day there and NEVER gone to the parks! I never took him up on it, but we did tend to linger A LOT, hours worth, while there instead of going commando!

Have fun planning!
Debbie
