johnsonet.... to you! It's about time you joined us!;)

dreamflight...I LOVE all those Baumann's! I carry at least two in my boutique at all times! Most people just gasp and grab their hearts when I tell them the prices, but some just say,
"I'll take it!":sunny:

When I initially bought my first dozen for my store
(a small fortune but, in my eyes, a smart investment)
my DH almost fainted at the invoice!:faint:

I just laughed and told him that even if I never sold one, I'd have some fabulous gifts for my mom and friends, and a maybe even take one on a special cruise.:teeth:

But, they do sell! Especially to my "oil and gas" ladies from Midland, Houston, Dallas and Oklahoma City.::yes::

steveanddonna...good to see you back in the lounge!:wave2:
Will you be at the Poly CL during the first week of August?
I'm toying with the idea of adding a couple of days (with just mom and I) before the rest of the gals arrive at the Dolphin!
Love to meet you and the Captain!:sunny:

desiab...no cheeky here from me! Let IPO take care of all your requests! BWI is known for their wonderful hospitality!
Those CMs are some of the top CL CMs on property, and they truly LOVE what they do! They love to assist and pamper their CL guests! :cloud9:

debbie..i miss the counters and all of our neat clippies, too!:(

Very tired...long day with reps and customers!
I'm going to grab a decaf latte and head to bed!

Nitey-nite lizards!

Congratulations! There are a number of people on this board who really love this place, so you should get lots of good info.

Also, besides PS's what can the staff assist my family and I with?

Well let me just say that this staff is awesome. I am using the same CL staff for my BC visit.

I had them send my children a postcard (photo actually) of Mickey and Minnie in front of our resort. They were dressed for the theme of course. Minnie had included a note that they (MM & MM) are looking forward to seeing us. Both Minnie and Mickey signed the note.

The CLs are helping me to arrange to have several gifts in the room upon our check-in, for the kids.
They offered to set up an Illuminations Cruise, but we could not fit it in our schedule. :sad1:
My DSIL lives in Ft. Lauderdale and she wants to visit us for 2 days. The CLs helped arrange parking for her.

We have an early (8:00 AM) breakfast PS at CRT (which they booked of course). The CLs gave us advice that we would be better off taking a taxi that morning, rather than relying on the buses. I would not have thought about that.

I know others have used the CLs to arrange birthday or anniversary celebrations at a particular lunch or dinner (cake etc.) or other kinds of parties like a dessert party.

Good morning Fellow Lounge Lizards!

I can't wait for the counters to be back too!! And BT's cool clippies also!

Good to have you back Donna! Let me know about a lounge lizard DIS meet at the Poly! It sounds like BT might be there also! I am there 7/31-8/8...so anyone interested, let me know!

I have left beverages and food out for all.

Have a Magical day!!

Lynn

Grabbing a croissant before I had out for my morning walk - I wish so much it was around the Seven Seas Lagoon but alas its not.

Anyway I have a question. I have eaten at Cindy's for breakfast several times but never before park opening and never leaving from the Poly. My PS is for 8am on a day the park opens at 9.

My guess is the best bet is to take the monorail as the boats don't start up that early...correct?

And what time should I leave for the monorail. How early can I expect them to let us enter MK and start up Main Street?

Thanks!

Liz
Leaving in 8! Days!

traveliz First of all, WELCOME to the thread (know you've been around for a few days, but I've been missing in action.) You do the same as we do - all the nieces and nephews go to WDW with us between their 4th & 5th birthday. It makes for a different kind of fun for us, and great memories for them. I think DH & I get the best end of the deal, though - the kids really find the magic adults tend to overlook. ;) As for your ? on travel times, monorail is your best bet, as the boats start later. For a really accurate time estimate, ask a monorail CM when you get there or even a concierge CM. Wait times between monorails can vary during different seasons. We do the Pooh breakfast at CP before park opening almost every trip, and we usually allow ourselves a half hour from the Poly, sometimes a little more when we have a preschooler in tow. An MK CM will have your name on a checklist at the MK entrance, so you can get into the park with plenty of time to walk to your PS destination.

Cajunfan & BT - We're at the Poly Aug. 4-8 (never long enough!) so I hope we can get this Lizard mini-meet together! Left things to chance last two trips and never ran into one single Dis'er, let alone a fellow Lizard. I'll PM you both after work and maybe we can come up with a time.

Morning lizards!:wave2:

Traveliz....we did the CRT this last trip and our PS was for 8 am, with 9 am park opening.
Aunt Tamby took the 6yo niece on this last trip! I just LOVE pampering my little girls...as I don't have a little girl of my own to spoil! But, that's OK...I know I'm their favorite aunt!
(Then again, i'm their only aunt! LOL! But, I love doing all those things for them! So much pleasure to see the joy on their faces!)::yes::
Like I said before, and Donna will agree.....PRICELESS!!!!

We boarded the Poly monorail at 7:20-ish and got to the MK, went thru security check, and just tell them you are there for the CRT breakfast! Just like steveanddonna said...
You can enter the MK and go to the castle before the rope drop.
No problem! princess:
have a wonderful time, Traveliz!:wave2:

cajunfan...After I got all tucked into bed last night, it dawned upon me that YOU were going to be at the Poly also during that time!
A meet with you and steveanddonna and CaptainConcierge
would be wonderful!

OK...ya'll just gave me the reason I needed to call CRO this morning and book a room!
You all are such a BAD INFLUENCE on me! ;)

After considering doing one of the tours at WDW, I am thinking that adding that in to our trip might run us too ragged. I want to be sure we have plenty of time to relax, rest, and enjoy our resort. So, I was thinking have have a private dining event for just my husband and I. Do you think the concierge would be able to help set this up? I was thinking we might try to do it on our balcony at the AKL, but we could also do it while at the Poly if that would work better. Do you know if I can order things that aren't on the standard room service menu for an event like this? We are picky eaters, so that might be a problem, LOL! Also, I think I am going to see if I can coordinate having the GF Bakery make a small replica of our wedding cake for us. We will be there a tiny bit before our first anniversary, but oh well. We didn't take any cake with us to freeze for our anniversary, so this option might work well. That, and a fresh cake will be much yummier than a frozen one, LOL! :teeth: Does anyone have any ideas for what we could do? I'm also open to other location suggestions. I know you are all are so creative, so I can't wait to hear your ideas! :hyper:

Oh, I have been a FAN of her work for years! DH bought me my first SET (Both Mickey & Minnie, and all the little accessories!) for our 10th Anniversary in '96! It was the "gift" I selected while perusing the DTD area. :teeth: I have collected a LOT since then (nearing 20), and have them in the top of a beautiful arched glass curio. I love mulit-functional art. I am able to both ENJOY these, and USE them too! (LOL).
I have brought them on the past two Disney Cruises, and the always draw attention/compliments. I also bring a couple with me on my annual summer trek...as they travel well in the suede pouches.

Here's the MINNIE(s) I received initially, causing the Bauman BITE (LOL). The faces are SO HAPPY...makes me SMILE just to see them!

I am a HOPELESS collector too! My BIG weakness is Christmas! I collect Steinbach nutcrackers (I even purchased one - the Nutcracker Soldier from the Nutcracker ballet - at the Germany pavilion at Epcot). I also collect Department 56 villages (2 different ones--Christmas in the City and the Disney Heritage Village). I also love to collect Christmas ornaments, from the really inexpensive but super cute ones to the Radko ornaments like my favorite WDW castle one. You should see how many Disney ornaments are on my tree. What's even funnier is how they look mixed in with the Star Trek ones, LOL!

Thanks Steveanddonna and Bambi Tamby - my idea was to head over toward the monorail a little after 7 or so; so I should have no trouble getting to the MK in a timely fashion. It will be great to be there early. My daughter (who is 17) is the one who still insists we do Cinderella's for breakfast!

Sounds like everyone's plans are coming along famously.

Liz
(who sometime will hae to take the time to add cute stuff to my posts but in all my online life have just signed my name.)

I've been debating where to stay on my family's first trip to WDW (I myself went for the first time last month) - and, after reading all of your posts - have opted to treat the family (mom and brother) to CL at the AKL (3 nights) and GF Main (3 nights) the first week in December.

Thank you all for the great information posted on this board - I couldn't have made this decision with out this!

Looking forward to a once-in-a-lifetime trip for my mom and brother in December...

Aloha!

STEVEANDONNA: Too funny!

His words: "What would I write - that I bought new Keen sandals & they're perfect WDW shoes for guys?"

Look at how the tag fairy tagged me!! :o The sad thing is that I do love them... and I'm a 38 yr mom of 2!!! :o I own the womens one though! They are not the most ladylike shoes I own but are by far the most comfy!! I know you ladies wouldn't be caught dead in them, but after knee surgery.. comfort prevails!!! Especially @ the world!

Can't wait to hear about everyones upcoming trips.

Jonna

P.s. MY COUNTER IS BACK YIPPEE!

I really did just see my counter in my preview... but now its gone!!! Go figure?
It said 71 days.... It can't come fast enough!

Jonna

The counters and clippies show up in Preview mode, but do not show up when you actually post.

So we can't see how soon others are going! :earseek:  :sad2:

Oh yeah, congratulations on being Tagged!

Ohmygosh, thanks for posting those pictures. . .everything is so lovely!

It's been quite some time since I posted, but thought I'd pop in a bit and say "Hello!" I finally booked my trip for the first of October, 7 days, Poly GV nonconcierge. . . (boo hoo). . although. . . .since I booked at rack rate and am hoping for some good Florida ressie rates, that non-concierge thing just might change. At least I'm hoping so! ;)

But the *big* question is. . do I spoil my kids in such a manner? hehe. . they are spoiled enough as it is. . . hmmmm?

Well, back to work! Y'a'll have a great day!

Ann

dreamflight my jaw hit the FLOOR when I looked at all of your beautiful pictures. Absolutely amazing! ::yes:: Can't even think of anything else to say, I'm speechless. That sure doesn't happen often. ;) My big thing to collect is Disney cookie jars and Disney salt and pepper shakers. I have some really great ones that my mom purchased for me before she passed away. DH and DS got me 2 new ones for Mother's Day,

American Mouse Jukebox Cookie Jar and Tinkerbell Pouting Pixie Cookie Jar

I just love them. If I can one day figure out how to post pictures on here I'll put them up along with some of our recent WDW vacation.

Hope everyone is having a great day. :sunny:

DF-WOW. I thought your Princess was beautiful but I love your Minnie and just LOVE your mini Minnie! Also love the Radko castle. I have several Radko that my SIL has given me (they go high on the tree) but haven't seen the castle. Do they still have at Disney or was it a limited edition? Are all of his? We didn't even make it to the World showcase last trip. I'll have to check out the Germany shop in October. You did indeed bring a smile to my face but GET PACKING!

Goofy-did you get your Song vouchers today?

Traveliz-maybe you get a ride in the front of the monorail (shouldn't be too many others around at that hour) what a magical way to get to CRT!

DF99 - ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! You're awesome! I MUST have one of the Steiff Sorcerer Mickey's - he's phenomenal!! I'm going to look that up right now to see if it is currently available. Trying to think where I could make room for my new hobby...;)
