Here's the latest...

DS had his sedated hearing test which revealed a significant hearing loss. He had had prior testing but those left room for error. This test was definitive. He will be fitted for hearing aids next week, and will wear them for the rest of his life. It came as a bit of a shock to us.

They come so small now, he'll be fine..... hugs to you...


I've been having more problems with the pregnancy. I am now on STRICT bedrest. Not only is this extremely high risk, but the condition is not common. Two of the specialists I've seen are not especially optimistic about a good outcome, although women with this have had good outcomes.

Hang on in there Woody. I'm hoping for a good outcome for our Little Lounge Lizard souvenir!!!

I'd hoped to check in with all of you sooner, but we've not been at our house much as I've been staying with the kids at various relative's houses. We've hired a helper now (since DS is starting preschool) and I should be "around" more. I'll catch up on all the the posts I've missed eventually. I'll try to start tonight. I hope all the Lizards are doing well. P and PD to all those in need.

But considers Mickey Mouse " THE OTHER MAN"!!! Do you believe that the only people that share your love of WDW are on the DIS?
I think I am having a midlife crisis ( I just turned 50) I am actually thinking about getting permanent set of Mickey Ears. A tatto. My children think its cool,DH thinks I am crazy. I have considered therapy, thats when I plan another trip to WDW. This time AKL first week of DEC.

All I can say is I resemble that remark!!

My DD is Disney all the way. My DGD wants to get married at Disney. (oh I love that child!!) Now my son.... he is not in love with the Mouse. Won't join us for Christmas. Bah hum bug.

But I am certifiable. And that's okay....

You picked a great time to visit the World--Disney is so festive with all the special holiday happenings. We definitely suggest Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party and the Osborne Family Spectacle of Lights. This year we'll also be trying the Candlelight Processional, which everyone raves about. We'll be there Nov. 28 - Dec. 4, so maybe we'll run into you at the Poly (we'll be at the AKL CL Nov. 28 - Dec. 1, then at the Poly GVC Dec. 1 - Dec. 4)--that would be so neat! Just look for the married couple that looks about 12, LOL! (We're really 25 ). My best advise is to pack for EVERY kind of weather. I have been to WDW the last 4 Decembers in a row, and there have been days I wore shorts and days I needed a coat and gloves.

Pattymouse So, where do you work in good old Spring Lake? Yes, it is a beautiful town and I am amazed/astonished at the housing prices now. We used to live on Como Lake on South Blvd. It was a good place for a kid but didn't offer a lot of diversity.

Are you familiar with the Spring Lake term "Bennies?"

It's been great getting caught up with everyone's trips, and lives. Work has been an absolute circus (remember the Disney movie "Something Wicked This Way Comes"...)

Anyway...

Steffy: I just turned 50 too! There must be something about that magic number. I've also found that to be a turning point towards the magic of WDW. I'm not quite to the tatoo stage yet, but I'm constantly planning new things to do when our annual trips roll around!

Pattymouse: Spring Lake! My DH + I had a wonderful January stay at the Hollycroft. It was still decorated for Christmas. We even had snow overnight, raced to the beach and made a snowman while the waves continued to roll in around us! You will love WDW during the holidays. The decorations are fabulous!

Now you've done it... triggered my brain for Christmas. I'll be singing carols in my head all morning now! I love it!

Just got back from our trip on 8/18. We took an extra week to visit family in New Port Richey, FL and Atlanta, GA. We left Florida the day Charley hit.

Had a great first trip. Loved the Poly, and the location.
Concierge had a birthday cake and balloons in our room for my dd(5).

We ate at CP, CM, CRT, Boma, and 'Ohana.
Snow White planted one of her special kisses on my ds(2) forehead.

We fell in love with the AKL. Thats where we plan on staying for next trip.

I'm sorry I missed BT and Donna.

Pattymouse-that is such a great time to go to Disney. I've been 3 times in early December. You just need to be prepared for all kinds of weather. Twice it was HOT (90's!) but once is was COLD (30's at night) and that time it also rained so hard that it caused a problem with the gates at Epcot. I got in for free! I haven't done Osborne lights but loved MVMCP and Candlelight Processional. The dinner package for the processional was well worth it-you pay what you would for dinner and get a seat without waiting over an hour and when I went you also got 10% off at the Epcot stores for that day. I also really enjoyed the Santas around the world and the lights between Future World and World Showcase are so beautiful. I do find that taking a trip that time of year can make things crazy at home so I make sure to finish my Christmas shopping before Thanksgiving and one year I did my Christmas cards at the airport.

Welcome to the lounge and congrats on 25 years. We'll be celebrating 20 this fall.

OK....it's all a done deal.
I've got the Steeplechase Suite for May 15th, 5 nights and
mmausse has the Sonora Suite booked for 7 nights starting on the 15th.

We can have four extra folks in each suite as mmausse and I will be taking the master bedrooms....you don't want to have us as bed-buddies...we snore and wheez!

There are two queens in each of the other bedrooms and I'm checking to see if the sofas are sleepers or not.

So....we have room for 8 LUCKY LIZARDS.
So far, I have KerryCM for 2, steveanddonna (Donna), ead79, ....
Who else is in>? Sorry, I can't remember!
