I actually find this quite offending. It disgusts me to no end how politically correct this country is. Every empire has its downfall if we are not careful this PC crap will be our downfall if we are not careful.
Maybe Trump asked for his birth certificate to prove he was a true American superhero...
I have the issue in question, and the story in question is a 6=7 page story towards the end that has nothing to do with the main story. With it being issue 900, there are a couple of extra short stories added as an extra. In this story Superman is more or less yelled at by a rep for the president because he attended a protest in another country. He did nothing but stand there to make sure no one is hurt. In doing this, the other goernments of the world claim he was there on behalf of the president to push american views. He renounces his citizenship because he is citizen of the world, not one country and he is here to help everyone, not just americans. In it he says he sees the bigger picture. Clark Kent is still an american, just not Superman. When this story was put in the issue, I do not think DC thought it was gonna be as big a story. If they had, they would have put of a press release on Tuesday before the issue hit the stands. Sometimes I think the media makes a big deal out of things.

I don't see this as positive at all. It shows what the writer thinks of American views and Americans in general. If he is there to make sure know body is hurt, than he should just say so.Knowing nothing of this stuff I take your word for it and I have to say I see nothing wrong with this at all. In fact it seems like quite a positive message, IMO.

Renouncing his US citizenship because a foreign government accuses him of having an American viewpoint? Really??
MG
He come into the county illegally and when did he ever apply for citizenship anyway?
Did superman get a Green Card, Apply For Asylum or what?
If he ever obtained citizenship in the first place then it should be revoked.
....does this really matter to anyone . . .
Let us remember he is not a real person . . . . .
... he is citizen of the world, not one country and he is here to help everyone, not just americans. ...
If this was not a magazine aimed at kids I guess I would not think it was as bad. IMHO it is not good to try to make a child think being loyal to a country is a bad thing.
I just wish I had a presciption so I could cancell it.
Correct.. It IS his right. It's also my right to disagree with it, thus I posted this thread. So what? It's his right to have his own perspective. His view positive or negative doesn't affect The United States either way.
