So.....quick question!

I went with my family (DH, DS1, and DD2) to DL in October. We had a fantastic trip and loved every minute of it. My DD is still talking about it....My birthday is Monday Jan. 5th and I decided to take a quick one day trip to DL with my cousin and DD. Is that crazy? We are flying in Monday morning from Alb. NM and going home Tuesday afternoon! Staying at the DL hotel and having breakfast with the characters Tues. before we leave.

I can't wait....but I still kind of feel bad for some reason?????

AHHHH!!!:confused:

Why would you feel bad? Guilt? Go...have an amazing time, and when you get back you can share stories with the little ones about the stuff they get to do next time...gives them something to look forward to.

Or you can get them a little somethin-somethin to make up for Mommys mini break. ;)

We are entitled to those ya know. Matter of fact, Im going in April and leaving dh and ds2 home this time. Its just me and my girls. REALLY looking forward to it.

Theres just something liberating about not having a stroller and a toddler attached to you 24/7. :banana:

HECK NO it's not crazy!!!! It's your birthday!!!!!!

Go and have a wonderful time!!!!!!!

:)

Ok...I can sleep now! Thanks guys! And actually I am taking DD2 with me so its only a break from the one year old.

It might be too late, I don't know, but go to disneyland.com NOW and register for your birthday. You might get your email reply before you go and be able to enjoy the perks of the birthday part of "What are you celebrating" promo.

Okay, you are still reading... go register. hehe :wizard:

Enjoy your trip, guilt-free!

Have a great birthday trip!

Do not feel bad about it nor guilty in anyway. In my opinion it would be a better idea to use that energy to enjoy your trip.
You and your family had visited Dl. not that long ago, and there will be many more family trips in the future. Solo trips can be very nice too. Or like in your case, going with your cousin and one of your DDs. Maybe take a complete rest from family, and leave your DD at home too. No need to feel guilty or bad about that at all.

~~~~~~~~~~~~ HAPPY BIRTHDAY! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
:flower: You all have an awesome and magical time! :flower3:
I think you will have a great trip. You should be able to get a lot done because Christmas will be over and most everyone will be back at work. Plan on having the park almost to yourself! Have fun.
If you are not able to register soon enough, that is o.k. For one does not need to do so, in order to par take in the complimentary birthday admission offer.
By registering according to Disney it simply will make the process go faster, once at the ticket window.
Well....the guilt is turning into EXCITEMENT! I just got back from the store buying some last minute things for the trip and I am ready to go! From reading here it seems like the crowds will not be too bad:cool1: Although am sure there will be a lot of shutdowns.
Thanks for the birthday wishes Gisele and the advice everyone!
Ahhhhhh at this time tommorow I will be in DL!
Oh and I am registered and ready to go!
You're going to have a great time at the parks. Have a wonderful birthday celebration!! :sunny:
We just got back from our trip...it was so much fun (very fast trip!) I ended up taking both of my kids DD2 and DS1! I just could not imagine having a great time without them. They had a blast! Only snag in our trip was instead of going with SuperShuttle which what we originally planned we got in this white van called ADVANCE Shuttle at the airport...I asked the man how much and he told me 30 dollars and I said well SuperShuttle is 10 bucks a person and he said no they all charge 30 dollars....just come with us. So against my better judgement we stayed in the van and rode with them. I called SuperShuttle when I got to the hotel and they told me those people lie to get people to go with them and they charge more...they are in no way affilitated with SuperShuttle!! I was very upset that I was lied to and ripped off! The guy didnt even want to give us change! SO I cancelled our reservation for the way back and the man was very upset on the phone with me and hung up on me! Oh well at least I learned not to get in creepy vans at the airport anymore that do not say SuperShuttle!
So besides that it was a great birthday I loved my room at the Disneyland hotel (a little pricey for what you get but hey its Disneyland) the crowds were not too bad...it was a little bit of a bummer with IASW and HM down. DD LOVED pixie hollow. We waited in line for about 45 minutes but it was worth it when she got to meet Tink!
:) What a great birthday!!
