I thought about that Dean but with the 21st being just around the corner I felt it wasnt worth it. I also checked to see what nights were available for the one bedroom and only 3 of the 9 nights were. So I really dont think it would be worth it. Then again I really dont know how often folks cancel at the last minute. Any ideas on that?

I wasn't thinking about being within the 7 day window, no wait list for then. You can call daily but I wouldn't give up anything you have unless you are being offered what you want at OKW. I'd call the last couple of days prior to your arrival and ask if it's available. If not, not harm done.

The dynamics of the DVC reservation system result in daily changes to availability. It certainly can't hurt to call often to see what might become available- right up until the last day.

Glad to hear you got SSR. Did you still have some points go into holding?

We had to borrow more points in order to book the entire stay. We could of used the cash discount on the weekend but decided to use points. We have no points in holding. If I do call lets say each day and a 1br at OKW does open up will I end up with points in holding. The 1br at OKW is less points then SSR. I was amazed at how much more the points were for SSR. Any chance that some of the points I just had to borrow can be put back in this case. I am guessing not.

Yes, if you switch to OKW then the extra points will go into holding. I do not think that there will be an exception made since you just borrowed in the last few days in order to make the SSR ressie. In any case, have a wonderful time!
