:sad1: I had to cancel our reservations for Contemporary :sad1: We're going for a short stay (six nights, five days), our first visit during the holidays and wanted to be close to all the action, monorail to MK and Epcot, monorail to other resorts for meals and see Christmas decorations :sad1: . WL is/has been all booked up for some time now :sad2: Now some unexpected expenses came up and Contemporary is out of our holiday trip budget :sad1: . The only resorts available were CBR and CSR. We selected CBR, anyone have and can post photos of CBR holiday decorations? At least we can still go on our first holiday trip :yay: , but still a little :sad1: about canceling Contemporary :sad1:

It's to bad you had to cancel you're Contemporary reseravtion, however maybe you could make an ADR at Chef Mickey's, Concourse Steakhouse or the California Grill. This way it gives you an excuse to and visit the Contemporary.

I also have a reservation booked at the Contemporary for five nights in December (arriving on Monday 10th), tower room with MK view. I made the reservation on January 5, 2007, about eleven months before time for my planned solo trip to WDW. When I booked the room I fully expected some discount on the rack rate, but now, as we near the end of September, no discount has been forthcoming.

I am considering canceling my reservation, and rebooking a trip at a moderate resort for sometime in the spring (March, April or May), or perhaps not rebooking at all. If I do make a trip, I will purchase an annual pass before leaving home, but I may just end up saving those dollars too.

Still thinking it over.

You are so lucky to be getting to go to Disney World! Your resort is very beautiful. I know it doesn't have a view of the castle, but really, how long do you plan on staying in your room anyway? Instead of having a view of the castle, you will be in the park actually standing in front of it. That would make anyone happy!
Good for you, though, for staying within your vacation budget. Have a great time!

We weren't at CBR for the holidays, but one thing's for sure you will have much better on site CS options at CBR than either of the others! Those resorts are so different, try to look at it as half full and not half empty! Besides when it is all said and done, you'll still be at WDW for the holidays!

CBR is a really nice resort. In fact, we're staying there next weekend. Since we've never stayed at CR before I wouldn't really know what's missing there. But CBR is really pretty and you can't beat their food court. They have one of the nicest. I think you'll be happy with it. It's much better than CSR. At least you're able to go after all.
