Have they made any exceptions to the 45-day RCI policy?

Hello!

We are supposed to check-in to CCV on 10/7 but CT still currently has a travel ban. I'm considering moving our reservation to early November and see if FL's numbers drop and maybe the travel ban is lifted. The problem is that we are using December 2018 points that will expire November 30 if we don't use them. I think if I put them into RCI I would need to do that by October 15th? Has anyone heard of any exceptions to that? Say, if we can't go in November, would they still allow us to roll into RCI?

You can deposit as later than that by 14 days before expiration.

However, that restricts them greatly. It’s like holding points with DVC in a sense.

But, no, no changes to any policy based on travel restrictions. Only for resort closures.

The most recent RCI Disclosure Document (updated June 2020) makes no mention of the 14 day "late deposit" or even the 45 day deadline. It's a good idea to check with MS (ask for the RCI exchange group) to make sure it's still in effect. Better to know than to assume these days!

Thanks! I don’t do much with RCI so didn’t realize it had been updated!!

Thank you both:-)

I’m off tomorrow so I think I’ll call MS and try to figure out a plan.
