I know the GAD rules state that a copy of the birth certificate is required. It doesn't say a certified copy. But then again, it doesn't say a photo copy.....just a copy.

Has anyone used a photo copy of your child's birth certificate when exchanging their GAD voucher? I don't want to show up at WDW with a photo copy and be told that what was meant by copy is a certified copy.

I would love to hear from people who have used photo copies. I need some reassuring on this.

Thanks!

We have not redeemed yet, but people have posted that they have used regular copies, not certified copies. We are planning to bring copies so we don't have to bring the kids' passports or original birth certificates.

I used a photocopy as have many others here. The guy just looked quickly and handed it back to me.

I appreciate the info on this. I know there has been a lot of talk about copies being OK since the rules don't specify a certified copy. I just wanted some confirmation from those who have used a photo copy to redeem their child's voucher.

Thanks again!
