Have a favorite Disney bar?

For a good martini, there is a place at the Boardwalk Inn - it's so quiet and tucked away. We went there one time - no one was there! I forget the name, it's off the lobby. It is so quiet, the kids sat and had a coke and we had a martini before dinner. Sorry to have forgotten the name!

Also, after touring at AK all day, we love to sit at the Bawa Bar and have a beer. It's fun, and you can catch the wonderful acrobats!

I can't wait to see the new one by the pool next week at the Dolphin! Saw pictures - it looks very "cool" and chic. Maybe too cool for an over 40 stay at home mom!

We like to "Drink Around the Monorail". We hit every bar along the Monorail. (We actually start at Fort Wildnerness on the porch, and then take the boat to Wilderness Lodge, and then take a boat to Magic Kingdom.) We jump on the monorail and hit Tambu Lounge, Mizner's, and try to hit California Grill around fireworks time. It is a bounty of delight!! :thumbsup2

:thumbsup2

That is sooooo fun. My DH and I did that on our last trip on our "Date Night". We started off eating dinner at CG then decided that we were too full to do anything so we sat downstairs at the lounge in the Contemporary. It was our server who told us about the "Monorail Crawl" so we decided to head on over to the Tambu Lounge and ended up staying there for awhile and have a drink and listen to music and watch the Hula Dancers, then we decided to bypass GF and go back to the Contemporary and watch Wishes and enjoy their bar. After Wishes we hung around and had great conversations with the bartenders at CG, I think we closed out the bar that night....haven't done that since college :goodvibes

The Outer Rim is a good one, great view. But with all the changes and the proximity of Chef Mickey's can get loud.
We enjoy the Belle Vue at BW. We sit out on the balcony and people watch or listen to the old radio shows inside.

I have to drank around the monorail, which is fun, I also like the bar at SSR, and of course we like to sit at the bar as ESPN club!

I can't remember the name of it but my favorite is a little place in PI. They are right across from the DJ booth and they used to serve drinks in sand buckets but now they are just regular drinks.

I even had a favorite bar tender but now I can't remember her name, Kim maybe? :headache: She lives in Winter Park and is married and has a young son, dang I wish I remember her name :headache:

Back during Spring Break (what seems like ages ago), a few friends of mine did a drinking contest at Epcot Center, where we would work our way around it downing a signature drink or two around World Showcase (a scotch in England, Saki in Japan, limoncello in Italy, margarita in Mexico, beer in Canada / Germany, etc etc). We were drunkenly and pleasantly surprised that the CM working the Maelstrom in Norway says it is perfectly fine to actually take drinks on the ride. Suffice to say, it was a crazy mix of alcohol and how we made it out of the parks on our feet is nothing short of a miracle. :-)

But to answer the question, my favorite bar is definitely Jellyrolls!

I looked and didn't see our two favorites. The one next to 50s Diner is by far our favorite. It has great drinks and they do Shirley Temples in plastic straw cups with flashing icecubes for the kids. Our second favorite is the Margarita Bar at DTD. Those things are potent, and little tip there is the Patron Margarita is less expensive than the Signature Don Julio Margarita. And I think somebody already mentioned the Bar in the Contemporary Resort near the front Desk. Although I don't remember it having much of a view as it was more like a Ultra Lounge with large U-shaped lounge areas, very sleek.:thumbsup2

Our favorite is the Crew's Cup. We've been pretty much every Disney bar several times (for research purposes of course).

The Tambu Lounge for an Island Sunset..omigod so good

Diawa bar in Harambe in AK is a personal favorite. Drinks at the California Grill are nice before a fantastic meal.

Dawa is on my to-do list! Can you recommend a drink? I will try to time it to see performers while I'm there.

Love Tambu Lounge. Love Territory Lounge. Love Petals at POP.

(And...after a long day playing, I love the cooler in my room full of beer & whiskey.)

Dawa Bar is great to relax a bit have a cold beverage (or three) and get on the bus!
After that its Petals at Pop Century. Good bartenders and always alot of fun
