Have 527 Days Until Our Vacation, But I Need Some Disney Magic Now!*22 DAYS TO GO!!!!

When I first wrote on here that I bought them, D thought I was talking about sunglasses.:lmao:

Yep, that was my "poke" at D. ;)

Thanks Liddian, and good eyes. You saw the diffrence.

Woohoo! :woohoo:

I think you should bring the cake anyway and have a slice for Lora.:thumbsup2

Mmm.... cake!

I am lucky that my daughter is still into princess' but I know it wont last forever. On one sad day she isn't going to want any more princess stuff.:sad1: Her Grandmother is already working on her, telling her that she isn't a "Real" princess.:confused3 I haven't even told her about the trip yet because I know she would try to change Mia's mind about going. She definatly doesn't understand why I would want to go again. She even told Mia that DL is bigger (and better) than WDW.:confused3 And yes she has been to WDW . . . once. . . back in the mid to late 70's.

Now I have no problem with people having there own oppinion about things, but it really angers me when they try to force their opinions on me or my children.:headache:

:scared1: Can you not tell your mom that she's entitled to her own opinions and feelings, but she should leave your DD out of it? :confused3 I know I'd be livid if my mom was telling my DD she wasn't a real princess or tried to convince her one park was better than the other (or any other negative comments). I call DD "princess", as well as my neices. Sure, they may not be entitled to rule a land and live in a castle, but they're princesses in my eyes.

Honestly, I'd have words if it was my mom. And if she didn't stop, then I'd have no choice but to not let her be around my kids. So maybe sit down with your mom and talk to her and if she doesn't stop, remind her that they are your kids, and trying to convince Mia she isn't a real princesses is just bad, bad, bad!

You tell Mia I think she's a beautiful, wonderful Princess! And she should have a Princess Tea Party this weekend! :cloud9:

I am cherishing every Disney moment with. I am lucky because she still likes dressing up at Disney:)

She even thinks it is mandatory to wear ears and tiaras

Great job on the outfits!! I did notice the difference. Nice DIS green in there too!!

The princess suitcase is cute.

I hope something works out soon financially for you, for a trip.

On the grandmother...some people just don't "get" it. But I suppose if she was here in the 70's she would have only seen the MK and nothing else. I've only been to DL once, back in the 80's and there were several things I liked better there than the MK. Would love to go back someday, and see DCA too.

We're all princesses, so I don't know what Grandmother means...:confused3

im back.. been so stressed at work..

but disney stuffs..i already got my state refund.. waiting for my federal.. then i can pay off disney and have a few hundred left over to set aside for mine and my hunnie's trip..

Thanks Lidian. It is actually not my mom it is her father's mom. I told my mom about the trip on Wednesday. I bought tickets to see Leagly Blond for her and we went on Wednesday. I was talking about the outfit I made and explained that I had made it for the trip I promised Mia in 2013. Of course she was worried about the money (Disney is not cheap and I am not rich) but I explained that I already started putting money aside for it and was putting a little aside every week.:thumbsup2

As for Mia's other Grandma . . . I love her but she is about the most oppinionated person I have ever meet. Of course she tells Mia's these things mainly when she is visiting her everyother weekend (her son lives with her so Mia is spending time with her dad). So every once in a while Mia will say something and I will have tell her my view of things.

Yes a real princess is the daughter of a Queen and she isn't technically a princess, but she is my princess and pretending is a good thing. There is no way that DL is bigger than WDW.:confused3 Though DL has a lot of good things and I would like to go there someday.

I have made my wishes known before to her, but than suddenly I am thee bad guy and I get calls for her DD about how they have done so much for me. It's a fine line and they really do love Mia, but I am constinatly reminding Mia that she can make her own decisions and have a diffrent oppinions than her Grandma. Though I do admite that if she starts trying to convince us to go somewhere else for our 2013 trip that I will let her know that this was our trip and to kindly bud out.

I am so with you there Chiara. I know one day she isn't going to want to do it anymore so I am cherishing every moment of it. She loves wearing dresses all the time, but I did promise her one princess costume for our trip. She has yet to chose who.

We already have our ears and absolutly loves tiaras.:cloud9:

Just thinking about it my DD growing out of dressing up. I honestly never did.:lmao: I admite one of the reasons I was in the Queen's courst at the Ren Faire was so I could wear a beautiful dress. OK, so I wasn't a princess, but I was a Countess. Pretty darn close right?:rotfl:

Thanks Tink, Just got the W-2s yeasterday so I am hoping there is enough there to be able to swing most of the money for the trip. Unfortunatly I was looking yesterday and all the value resorts are booked up so unless one opens up I will have to go for Mod which is a little more money than I was planning for:guilty:.

Yes I agree, we are all princesses, especially at Disney.princess:

im back.. been so stressed at work..

but disney stuffs..i already got my state refund.. waiting for my federal.. then i can pay off disney and have a few hundred left over to set aside for mine and my hunnie's trip..

Welcome back JennMouse.:goodvibes How great to be able to pay off your trip when you get your tax refund. I am hoping that my tax refund will be enough to get me to the world.:thumbsup2

I hope u have the same luck as me with the tax refund. I can't wait. I should get it Monday. I already got my state on Thursday. I will have around $200 left over afterwards. I'm gonna set $100 aside for mine and Ronnies aquarium trip in march for gas and tickets and all that. Then the other $100 goes toward our trip next year. Though if my sis can't get someone to cover for her for our trip. I might try to switch names and have Ronnie come with me this year. And we can go again next year!! Lol. Though I still wild rather stick to my plans and go with my sis this year. We had so much fun last time we went. And I know she needs a break probably more than I do! What with 2 young boys and her fiancée.

*happy sigh* it's so great to be in love

Talk to all of you fine ladies later.;)

psst.... you have a gentleman too... even if I do lurk most the time! :rolleyes1

can I *EVER* empathize with this. :sad2: A real princess is someone who is kind and nice. Princess-hood is what is in your heart, not your birth line. I mean, if you marry a prince you are a princess... that has nothing to do with birth. right? :confused3

Maybe that was a hint for you to come out of lurkdom? :confused3

Glad to see you're still around. :goodvibes

I think there should be less lurking and more talking...

D~ <--- it's been said that I talk too much though... :confused3

Thanks JennMouse, I might have some good news concerning my tax return but I am going to wait to reveal it at the end of this post.:thumbsup2

I am hoping that your sister is able to go on the trip with you. I know how it is to need a break .:thumbsup2

I didn't forget about you, it's just that you haven't been around for awhile. Don't worry you are still my token Man.:lmao:

I agree with you about the princess. I believe ever female has the right to be a princess no matter how old she is. It definatly doesn't have anything to do with birth. Mia will alway be my special princess, as your DD will alway be yours.

See Singledad, we all want to see more of you.;)

D~ <--- it's been said that I talk too much though... :confused3

It's not talking to much when we are all actually listening to you. My mom talks to much (about herself) so I usually zone out during part of her conversation.:confused3

D, maybe you should talk more? :confused3

Excellent idea... :thumbsup2 Any suggestions about what I should say??? :surfweb:

D~

You could talk about me? :confused3

Or you can talk about the news I am about to reveal.:confused3

So I just finished the taxes and it looks like I will have about $1200 that can go toward the trip. And that is not from the money I was planning on putting aside for next years trip. I had made an agreement for Liam's dad to claim him and split the money with me since I would not get much extra if I claimed him. That will give us both extra money.:goodvibes So it looks like the trip is. . . ON. Now I just have to wait until the money is sent which can take up to 14 days. I wish I could put a down payment down, but at this point I have to pay the full amount up front. So wish me luck that the room at POR is still available when I get the money.:thumbsup2 I am also hoping for a good deal on a flight.:) Doesn't look like I am going to be able to swing the Photopass for this trip though, a little out of my budget, but you can't have everything.:confused3

I am so happy... OK - so what's your game plan if POR isn't open??? Do you have a back up resort?

D~

D~

As of right now the only value open is the family suites and the only moderates open are POR or POFQ. I am only chosing POR right now because it is a little bit cheaper. If all the mods and values are booked up than the only other option I have is to look into other hotels close to WDW. I hope this is not the case since dealing with off property transportation is going to be a pain in the butt, not to mention getting to the hotel in the first place. I will deal with it if I have to, but really hoping that I don't have to.

I am really hoping that the tax return will be in closer to the 7 days and POR will still be open. Wish me luck.

I hope your tax money comes quickly so you can book soon. Fingers crossed so that POR or POFQ are available when you can book.

If you're really wanting the PP, there's a share on the FB group if you want to do it.

Fingers are crossed! If you need to do offsite, make sure you check on the shuttle service. We stayed at an offsite place, but they only had a shuttle run to Epcot three times each day. It didn't go to any other parks, and the times were really weird. So thoroughly investigate (and read lots of reviews) if you MUST stay offsite. :goodvibes Oh, Corrine, I'm so excited to meet you at the DISmeet! :woohoo:

GOOD LUCK!!!!! :wizard:

Thanks Terkina, I am praying for the same thing. All I need is just one little room.:lmao:

Thanks for all the info my friend, where do I find the info on the PP share on facebook. If it's at a good price I would be intrested. Hopefully I wont scare to many people by my ugly mug.:lmao:

So now that I know I will be going, just have to do those little things (like book the hotel, pay for the package, book the flight, figure out how to get back and forth from the airport to my house.:lmao:) I figured I can get back to planning. For those of you following my past trip TR here I will get back to that soon, but alot of pics are in my Laptop that is not logging on the internet right now. I got something to download them on too, but now I just need to find my power cord.:confused3

So here are my basic plans for the trip.

March 7- pick up kids from school, go to airport (eating dinner on way or at airport), take flight to MCO, Take ME to resort, check in, and go to bed.:thumbsup2

March 8- Epcot. Hopefully meet some friends in the park (what do you say girls) and go to the huge DisMeet that night (need some more info on this)

March 9- Magic Kingdom. Not sure if I will stay for FW, we will see.

March 10- DHS. EMH this morning, count me in. Will I stay for Fantasmic? Probably. It will probably be easier finding one seat than 2 or more.

March 11- DAK. This will also be the day I will be leaving but I fully intend on taking a late flight so I get in as much time here as possible. But with how crowded everything is supposed to be, who knows.:confused3

Both POR and POFQ are still open. Haven't really looked at POFQ, but there are at least two rooms available at POR because they are offering Standard and River View.:rotfl:

I also looked into DVC rental, but they only have AKL and SSL open and she would need half the money when she booked it. I will have that money on Wed so I might contact her again to see what is up, but I am a little worried about having to deal with the DDP and Tickets seperatly. But I would have to do than anyway if I booked a non-Disney Resort. What do you think? Should I try for AKL on Wed or should I just wait till I get the full amount and hope I will get POR or POFQ?:confused3

After planning this trip I will definatly need a vacation.:lmao:
Plus is it sad that I already want to start packing.:confused3:rotfl2:

thats great news!!! so happy for you!!

i was being mean to myself and my sis, going on the universal site and looking at some of the rides and yeah.. hehe.. finally broke down and told my sis that test track will be down when we are there.. she is sad about it.. but long as Soarin' is going she will be fine.. lol..... and when i was telling her about universal shes like " that has harry potter, right?" that was the first thing she asked.. it just made me laugh so much

today is mine and the hunnie's 2 month..

I don't remember who is in charge of the FB group, but you should really join us on the March thread: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2793446

It details the DISmeet, and it might have the FB info somewhere on this thread ... but I really don't know. There's like 3 March threads going right now, but this one is the most active. :goodvibes I might be able to figure out the FB stuff for you and let you know later. :thumbsup2
