Haunted Mansion Tiki Mug at Trader Sam’s?

I’ve read that limited quantities of these mugs are available each day, does anyone know how long the stock should be available for in this way?

I’d love one, but won’t arrive in WDW until 30th Oct...

My friend wAs there last week and said they didn't have any. She didn't ask if they were getting more and I didn't press her to ask (since I already asked for a shirt and a Starbucks tumbler LOL).

As far as I've heard, they're using the same distribution system as last year. Line up in the morning to get a voucher to buy the mug, come back at night to actually purchase.

We didn't know about this last year and missed out on getting a mug because they were all sold out for the day when we got to Trader Sam's right when they opened on the last day of our trip. It was a real bummer... I'm not sure when we'll be back for an October visit either.

Per Tikiman's Facebook:

There were 80-90 people in line at 2:30 today.

Process is you stand in line for a wristband go outside to Tiki Terrace to get the drink and pay for the drink, then go back to the front desk with your wristband and receipt to get the mug. Eliminates the wait to get inside the Grog Grotto. Limited quantity daily. 1 per person. They are only getting one shipment and while they're rationing, they are unlikely to have quantity to make it to 10/30, so I'd be cautious with hope.

What if you actually want to go to Grog Grotto for a different drink/apps? When do you get in line for that now to be seated inside? We'll be there in less than 2 weeks so people might still be buying this mug.

I didn't know about the new mug and we wandered over to Trader Sams on Friday afternoon. The line to get in was really long (was about 4:15) and everyone around me said they were there to get the new mug which they were only selling 200 per day. It didn't seem like a separate line. We left, I have never yet made it into Trader Sam's and probably won't this trip either.

That's my concern. I've got littles so I can't go close to closing time, but I don't want to miss out on GG just because eBay scalpers are after some mugs. I had been planning to line up around 3:30.

I want one of these so badly. I hate how expensive they are on eBay. I have people trying to grab one for me, but if anyone is there now and can snag me one I will love you forever and pay you!!!

Local scalpers really ruin these things for everyone, whether it's specialty mugs, pins, ornaments, etc. It's to the point where I think some stock should be reserved for resort guests.

I'm sure these are resort guests, but I saw a thread somewhere (maybe it was on my FB page?) where I read someone's dog had a band to get a mug.

Is lining up at 230 good for this Friday and what time does it open and you get the mug?

We did this last week. They passed out wristbands at 2:30. There were just over 100 of us in line. Trader Sam’s opens at 4:00, and that’s when you get your $30 mug. Once you get your wristband, you can come back at anytime before they close for the day. It seems like they pass out around 200 wristbands per day, until all of the mugs are gone. This started on Friday the 13th, so hopefully they will still have some for you.

It’s one mug per person / dog. Yes this really happened. I heard it from the CM who did it.
