You guys are killing me on this thread. No pun intended.
Yes, I wouldn't either IF they asked & were put in a place where my children & friends & dogs didn't play! That's why I say-I, too would love to have my resting place there but just not randomly scattered...a proper place-YES!!! I just don't think people should think they have a right to do this-especially if it's against the law in Florida.
I told my DW that, when I die and am cremated, she could either 1) spead my ashes in Bay Lake or 2) have me made into a diamond. I think she likes the diamond idea better!![]()
omg The DBC. I want in!![]()
I wonder how they'd clean up if you threw them off of everest? How would they know what dust belonged and what didn't? Not that my mom would ever go on Everest! If you did on TOT you could throw them and catch them several times!
As long as Disney doesn't try and profit from creating an actual memorial for people and their ashes then I'm allright, the Leave a Legacy sculptures at EPCOT already creep me out.Does anyone know how long they're supposed to be there, like when people put their tiles on there was there a contract saying how many years EPCOT would leave these, cause I've never liked them.As far as people spreading relative's ashes the way I look at it is I know it happens and for those families it's probably the way they want to remember a loved one,so I say leave it as it is and if people want to dump ashes in the seven seas lagoon at 3am then go for it, I just don't want memorials at Disney.
I have requested in my will that my ashes are placed inside of some kind of firework, preferably a skyrocket of some kind, and set off.
Wonder if my family could cut a deal with Disney for that????
Kids are tougher than we give them credit for. Death is a part of life-I'm not one of these people that thinks that kids should be overly sheltered.Yes, some kids are way sensitive but what can you do? Eventually they toughen up.I do not believe there to be a health risk however do you all have any idea what it would do to my DD7 if she found out about all this? And yes, she would notice someone dumping or dusting ashes on a ride, she would ask, she would eventually find out even if I evaded from telling her. She is just that kind of kid. It would completely ruin the trip for her..........SERIOUSLY. DS8 might put on a brave show in front of sis but he would probably have nightmares while at the world. And I know that my children are not the only ones who would have problems, not by a long shot.
So folks, if you are bound and determined.......Be very, very sensitive to others. You just may unwittingly forever ruin WDW for a child.![]()
then because of this:How's this instead?
I spot you dumping your loved ones remains in HM & I'll report it to a cm, they locate the incident on camera & it is recorded for all time, they call the police, you get arrested, the cleaning squad enters, your loved ones remains are vacd, mopped & bleached & hauled to a landfill.
Happy now?![]()
you will have to deal with this!Because my daughter notices everything, because she would loudly ask everyone, because she would make comments about it until someone would say something, because she would report to a cm, because people are not always very sly, because people do not always watch their tongues, because she is very smart!
I'd like to say that she would be okay with it but she is freaked out about death/dying right now (it's a phase...), starts crying when she realizes she will outlive her hamster or the thought mommy won't be around forever, cries over her deceased pet bunny who is buried in the backyard. She hasn't even walked in that area (small yard) in 3 months.
Wow but no offence, that is so gross! Why would someone spread someone else's ashes on a Disney World attraction? I think that if they do they wouldn't be there long. I mean what would happen when they clean the water or something? Or clean around? I don't know just saying![]()
Oh boy, you're in for it now. Apparently it is not gross. Apparently sitting in or walking through or ingesting the cremated remains of another person not only is not gross, it is not bad for you at all, and many people don't care that you are offended because they know for sure it's OK.
Your feelings in this matter are irrelevant. My feelings in this matter don't matter either, for the record. So, human remains in cremated form will rain down from the heavens onto your Dole whip and you will like it. You will sit in the cremated remains of a human being on the benches of Epcot and not know the difference.
I don't know how these people would feel about ingesting the cremated remains of a cockroach colony (thousands of 'em just spread into your cereal) but apparently this presents no problem whatsoever because, of course, cremation burns off any ickiness that cockroaches carry with them
Enjoy.

LOL, do you know how many rat hairs are allowed in your jar of peanut butter?
You can feel however you want. Other people are allowed to disagree, and think that you are ridiculous as you think they are.
