Haunted Mansion(MNSSHP)

What time of day do the MNSSHP extras at the Haunted Mansion start, or are they all day long? I have an ADR at BOG that day and am trying to decide whether I should get the Haunted Mansion in before or after my 5:15PM reservation.

It won't start until the party starts, and for the lighting effects, not until after dark.

Ok, that is what I needed to know. Just trying to work out my schedule for that day. So far, planning the first two days of my vacation have been a bit of a nightmare.

I have been using the DIS and Touring Plans in conjunction. I see you are doing Food & Wine and Pandora soon as well. I'm heading down in 4 weeks to do both plus the Halloween Party(my favorite holiday, but not really into the scary stuff).

Yup. I love Halloween too, in that fun way like Disney does it. I did Horror Nights once, but it wasn't really my thing. Some of it was cool, but, eh, I'd rather do MNSSHP. That said, I am probably not doing MNSSHP on this trip, but it has to do with scheduling and such. My friends and I decided to treat ourselves to the Star Wars Desert Prty instead. It's my first one of those, so we'll see how it is.

Anyway, I hope your trip is great and your planning goes smoothly. Try not to stress about the details too much. Its Disney...it'll be fun no matter what!

Oh, you're going to love it! But, don't worry about seeing "everything." You won't. You can't. So while maximizing your time is smart, if not everything lands perfectly, try not to worry about it. I think a lot of poeple let those little things get to them and they stress so much, even while planning, that it can suck the fun out of all of it.

I'm leaving some room, but I am getting all the things I am interested in. Now as for my planning streak, I used to plan other people's vacations for a living, so I naturally do a lot of planning for myself. I just want to make sure I am not wandering the parks aimlessly, though my plan for Animal Kingdom didn't quite allow me to completely avoid that, largely due to Pandora.
