Is Disney World doing The Nightmare Before Christmas setup at the Haunted Mansion like they do here at Disneyland?

I plan to move back to orlando next year and would love to see it if that were the case.

No. In fact, Haunted Mansion is closed today through Dec 19. No Small World overlay either. There is one for Jungle Cruise.

The Haunted Mansion overlay takes the ride offline for too long.

That works for Disneyland because of the high number of repeat visitors.

It doesn't work for WDW because of the high number of one time visitors.

Thankfully they do not do that for Haunted Mansion at WDW.

Nope. It's such a pity b/c WDW gets nothing cool like DL does. I mean, we get cool fireworks and such, but DL can be such a cool little place.

I have heard frequently that WDW is a cubic zirconium and DL is a diamond. Sigh. The HM overlay is an example of stuff like that.

The reason DL gets the cool stuff is because its needs the cool stuff to keep locals coming through the gates.

Rightly or wrongly Disney thinks of DL as a local park with the same frequent visitors and WDW as a destination park that sees more "once in a lifetime" visitors.

DL has to do things that WDW doesn't have to do and as posted above, closing a main line attraction for 4-6 weeks (?) a year is going to effect many more people's experience.

No, they've never done it in Florida. They are likely reluctant to close it down for four weeks, every year, to install and remove the overlay.
