Haunted Mansion Facade Refurbishment, under scrim

Does anyone have any news about the Haunted Mansion's current refurbishment to the outside. I know the ride is still open, but the outside is currently covered up. Not even the decorative scrim yet, but disney food blog had tweeted a picture. That was the first I had heard about it, it's not listed on any site that I could find as having work being done. Any word on when this work will be completed? I'd hate for this to still be under scrim for the MNSSHP dates. It's so pretty on party nights, it's one of our favorite things on our party night to see. Thanks!

I'd imagine it'll be ready for the Halloween Parties, at least I would hope so. I didn't know they planned to do anything to it. Maybe it was an unforeseen repair that was needed. Hopefully it won't take long.

They just went up before we got there on June 27th. The info we got was that it wouldn't be an extensive refurb, just some sprucing up of the façade. I think that that is why it's just a plain brown scrim and not something decorative. I wouldn't expect it to even be up all summer.

That's good to know! On the tweet from disney food blog, it linked to their Instagram photo and it said something about until October! I thought surely not! Especially with MNSSHP coming in September. I just had not seen any of the usual sites report on the HM work.

We were just there last week and I was shocked when I saw it -- I had no idea it would be there. I commented to my DH when we saw it....then the very next day, we stopped at MK again and while walking past HM, DH said "what the heck happened to haunted mansion"

Maybe there's an art scrim being prepared? The scrims on the Main St. shops were much more palatable than this. I'd be surprised if they didn't have HM all spruced up and ready to rock for the parties.
