I haven't been visiting much lately and didn't have any luck with a search so I am going to ask . . .

(THis might actually belong on the Rumor Board)

Has there been any talk or discussion of an adventure character meal? When I first saw the new line of Disney merchandise I thought maybe it was a great direction & might be the beginnings of a new character meal. Pan, Hook, Tarzan ---- my little guy would be in seventh heaven.

So . . . Any thoughts?? Any Rumors?? Any Info???

i asked wdwdine just the other night and was told there wasnt: just princesses and mickeys crew, but she wished they had something for boys like toy story because everyone always askes.

I wish they would have a boys character meal. My son will be 6 when we go next year. I asked him who he wanted to have a meal with he said Peter Pan. I asked him about Pooh and the gang and he said it is for babies, he won't even go for his baby sister.

My DS - then 10, liked LTT for dinner.
Chip and Dale were cool and funny.
So was Goofy.
Minne was geat with him.

The inside of LLT is colonial. Woods and darker colors.
Nothing girlish about the place.

My DS also liked the pewter plates.
Why not give it a try ? :)

A while back some were lobying on the boards to contact guest services and make the request to have dinners with characters for boys.

Hey, it worked to bring ee mornings back in spite of the skepticism of those discouraging several who called and e-mailed guest services, but pressure works!

we were supposed to have dinner with peter pan about a year and a half ago, but pooh turned up instead. oh well.

There are no "boys" character meals, per se... but these do well...

Donald's Breakfastosaurus
Chef Mickey's
Garden Grille
Cape May Cafe
Liberty Tree Tavern

As for the rumor about the Adventurer's Breakfast... there is a line of clothing and toys at the Disney Store right now that features Peter Pan, Hook, Hercules and Tarzan. Some thought that it would be great if they took that idea and expanded it into the parks with a character meal. It was all just speculation on the OP's part. Nothing official has ever been said.

Another rumor has been Toy Story, but I think because they have to have an agreement with Pixar to use the characters in that manner, it has never gotten off of the ground.

I too wish they would have a more "boyish" character meal, what with 3 princess meals... but Princess sells, so why not capitalize on a tried and true deal?

My grandson loves Hollywood and Vine character lunch meal. It's a must for every trip. Not only is the food great but the characters are characters. There's Goofy, Chip & Dale, and Pluto. That's about as boy related as you can get. Of course Minnie is there to greet you, but she doesn't come to the tables nor mingles, because this is her place and she's the hostess.

Does anyone have a listing or link to Disney officials, or Mngrs. emails? If enough people request (i.e. complain) maybe they will do something about it. They did add another Princess breakfast.

The squeaky wheel gets the grease!

I spoke to a wonderful CM this morning about several questions - including opportunities to meet Buzz. She said that there was a very reliable rumor going around that there would soon be a Buzz breakfast introduced!! She said she had no details about when it was starting or what restaurant it would be at - they usually inform the CMs a day or two in advance. She suggested that I call back a few times before our trip just to check. I wish I'd gotten her name. She gave me all kinds of great advice!! Anyway, I've got my fingers crossed - my ds (&dd) would flip for breakfast with Buzz and his pals!!

I think Donalds is an excellent choice for a boy. The place looks like the cabin my son lived in at summer camp for many years (I wanted to just burn everything that came home with him at the end of the summer!). It's definitely got a more "masculine" theme to it, the servers are a hoot, and lots of character interaction--besides, where else can you find Donald?

I sent an E-mail suggesting the Adventurers Breakfast after going to the Disney Store and seeing the new merchandise. I received an E-mail back from a Disney Lawyer telling me that they appreciate my suggestion but WDW does not take suggestions for legal reasons and my E-mail has been destroyed. It was acutally kind of a creepy E-mail.

Yikes!!

That is weird.

What happened to the old days where there were suggestion boxes everywhere??

Because of many law suits, Epcot being the biggest, they cannot take the chance that if they inadvertantly use someone's idea that that person will not come back and sue them.

I understand it perfectly, thanks to this sue happy world.

Best bet is to keep your ideas to yourself and hope that the Powers that Be come up with them... because now they may be very hesitant to use the Adventurers idea, the Toy Story idea and many other good ideas, for fear of later retribution.

My little girl loves the Princess breakfast, and has always enjoyed the Alice In Wonderland Tea Party!

But she would LOVE to have a meal with Jessie from Toy Story 2, or Peter Pan or Tarzan or Hercules! I think it would be great to have some other character meals. Maybe one day...
