I have been blessed with an obscenely large head. Presumably....to fit my unusually large brain? :joker:

I need a hat for the park. Think a highly unattractive, floppy, 360 degree brim with some sort of a tie off under the chin. Light colored canvas would be ideal. Mostly, though, it needs to fit my enormous head. OSFA is a joke. Even hats in regular stores marked 'L/X-L' generally do not fit.

Any websites with great safari style hats for those generously skulled among us? :lmao:pirate::littleangel:princess:pixiedust: :joker: :firefight:teeth:

Try www.bighatstore.com, I too have been blessed with a large brain and large storage area for my high intelligence. I have bought several hats from them and will get another one for our next trip. They have a pretty good selection in many sizes. Good luck, let me know if you find a better place. People with big heads need to stick together.

Just what I was going to post. I also have a large noggin and I got my hat there when going to Asia. They actually sell hats by size (and go up quite high). The salesperson didn't believe me when I said I wanted to try on the extra-large (some styles are not by hat size) and, when it fit, said "Wow, you really do have a big head". Accurate, but possibly not in the text book for "how to talk to customers".

I just measured....62 cm :crazy2:

Why haven't I done something enormously clever like figure out why children are impossible to remove from their beds monday through friday but are up with the sun on Saturday? Or determine where exactly it is that all the lost socks go?

http://www.tilley.com/The-TH9-Hemp-Hat.aspx I think my enormous brain would look quite dashing in this hat, don't you?

Ohhh this has some civilized looking stuff too!

My DH has the same blessing! We have found him Indiana Jones type hats on our last two trips to DW, in the HS shop right outside the Indiana Jones show. We hope to luck out again for our third trip!pixiedust:

How much do these usually cost?

Good to know big hats exists because I had to buy my barely 6yo an adult hat yesterday. Luckily he is very smart so the jokes work well, I will use the big storage line goin forward!

My DH bought a hat like you are describing from a shop in adventureland. They had actual sizes and he bough an XL. It keeps it shape well but is also packable. We usually wind up cramming it in the backpack at some point during the day.

Dan Murphy: I am the brand spankin' new owner of a Tilley Hat and I am in LOVE. With the hat, that is. It's. fabulous!

I'm going to check out some of the links here - many thanks from another member of the Giant Noggin Club™!

I usually end up blocking straw or cloth hats. I have a flat-bottomed mixing bowl about the same diameter as my head; I soak the hat in water, ease it down over the bowl, and let it dry.

My tall skinny DH has an incredibly fat head, we've found that Tommy Bahama (not really a brand we frequent) and Daniel Cremieux have great hats for "fat heads." (I say "fat head" with so much love.)

I may need to check that out. Pretty decent looking hats. I'm a member of the "orange on a toothpick" club myself.

Threebeans? I've been on DIS since nearly the beginning, I've read a LOT of posts and so many subjects that just get tiresome when you get jaded,:( but yours was just one of the cutest with the sweetest personality. THANKS for sharing your obscenely large head (and brain) with us!:goodvibes That put a Disney smile on my face today. :lovestruc

I too love the OP post. I have a small head and have the exact opposite problem. I think I have a highly efficient brain :)

Seriously...any adult hat means I can't see as it falls onto my nose to keep it up. I have to get most of mine from the kids selection.
