My mom does this with food. You say you like something, she feels she has to make it for a holiday, and then wants to know why I didn't eat the entire bowl of jello salad. Um, because there are 30 other dishes here for 10 people?

Gotta love moms. We aim to please. Just get a little over zealous sometimes.

My DH used to do that until I took over clothes shopping for him. He seriously at one time had five of the same striped shirts, just different colors.

My DH does this also-and he is SOOOOOO proud of himself. The same shirt 5 colors...thank goodness I did not marry him for his fashion sense.

Yup, my MIL has done this a number of times with my dh. She'll bring him a shirt when she visits and dh will wear it to work. She'll go to the store here and buy one in every color for him while she's here. LoL. That guys got more clothes then I do!

DH's mom does this. She once sent 3 whole boxes of sweaters--3 styles in tons of different colors. I think someone went a little at the outlet mall!

My Nana too! 'cept she was buying them at yard sales - waaaaaaaay past when they were fashionable.......

no, but my grandmother does. I can go into a store with her and she'll buy everything I pick up and look at. I have learned never touch things in store with her with me.

OK, you caught me. I am guilty of doing this. I even do it for myself. When I find something I like, I will buy several of them so I have enough to get me through the week. Last year I found black pants that fit me well and I liked them, so I bought 10 pair of them. I wear them everyday to work, so I wanted enough to get me through the week, plus enough to pack for when I travel.
