I called CRO today to check rates on a disney package (***) for December. The dates happened to overlap with a DVC reservation I currently have. I was just wanting to look at my options to see which direction I should go for my travel. Besides the fact I get sick and tired of all the same questions they ask ;) the CM finally put me on hold for quite a while. When she came back she said because I have a DVC reservation for part of that time period I would have to contact DVC regarding the discount package.

Is this the way it's always been? :confused3

EDIT: Code removed -Chuck S

That is wierd.....I have a DVC cash discount rate before my DVC point stay.

I called CRO not to long ago to check out AP rates......they didn't say anything about my exsisting ressie:confused3

Were you trying to book a disney hotel or a DVC room through CRO?

I would suggest the 1st rule of dealing with Disney: Get a weird or confusing or simply wrong answer from a CM, hang up and call again :thumbsup2

Package codes do not apply to DVC reservations through Member Services. Codes only apply to cash reservations through CRO.

Are you saying CRO would not quote you a package price for POR?

I know . . . I was just trying to check on a discount package for POR. Nothing to do with my DVC.

Hey you edited after I responded. LOL

Hmm, that's just strange, unless she thought you wanted the package to apply to POR and your DVC reservation.

I agree, call CRO again and get a different CM.

I know I should I just get sick of answering all their questions every stinking time. :) And incurring the long distance. Plus, it's obvious she talked to a supervisor about it. She put me on hold for awhile. And don't you think it's a little odd she could see my DVC res.? I didn't mention it to her.

I think they've been able to see DVC reservations for awhile. I know I called while enroute last year (driving) to get a room at POP for the first night, and the CM said "I see you're arriving a day early for your DVC stay, so I assume you want POP just for one night?" I don't think they can actually access the DVC reservatons to make changes, though.
