Has there ever been an AP dining discount?

My sister-in-law spoke with a CM who indicated that there has been AP dining discounts in the past. I have never heard of this and was wondering if anyone has any information on it. We have been AP holders for 2 years now and I can't believe I would've missed any such deal, unless it was something offered a while ago. Anyone know?

This is not related to the DDE card, by the way. She made it sound like it was the normal Disney dining plan with an AP discount. Thanks!

No - there's no discount on the Dining portion of the package. The discount is on the room portion of the package -- the Dining is still approx. $39 per adult and $10 per child age 3-9. The tickets are still the same price too.

I recieved a discount on the pruchase of my Disney Dining Experience card, which gives me I believe 20% off my meals(up to 6 people) in most restaurants. It actually may be 10, or 15%...Can't remember since I bought it last Dec when I bought my AP, but we saved enough $$ on the last trip to make it well worth the while. The discount was on drinks--soft and hard as well.

Maybe this is the discount you have heard of?
