Has Moonlight Magic been booking up before registration for off-site guests opens?

I may be in Orlando in July during the Epcot MM event, but not staying onsite since it's not a Disney trip (I know, crazy!!). Has MM been booking up this year before registration opens for off-site guests?

If I recall correctly MK never sold out. AK has sold out but did open to offsite bookings.

I was able to book for the AK event in the general open bookings on the first day it opened to offsite guests. (We are onsite but on rented points so I could not book using my own DVC membership). It was sold out a few hours after I made our reservation. I'd be ready early.

We have scheduled a last minute trip to Orlando arriving on March 21st. Understandably the Moonlight Magic offering at the Animal Kingdom is completely booked. Was wondering if any one has experienced getting tickets at the last minute due to cancellations? I saw on a prior post someone offering tickets due to members of their party cancelling - I would be very interested in this. We do have a party of 4 so I assume our chances are "slim to none" but thought I would at least investigate.
