How strange the turns are that change your life.
Six years ago I degrudgingly went to Disney World with a girlfriend at the time, and I fell in love. With Disney, not her.
We stayed off site, and went for just four days.
Fast forward to a few months later, and I signed up for something called the DIS Discussion Forums to ask a question about camping at Disney. The information I got on this board led me to stay on property a year later. Two years after that, several people here talked to me about the ups and downs of the Disney Vacation Club.
Though my post total is relatively low, I feel like I owe a great debt of gratitude to the people here for leading me through the vast wonderful space that is Walt Disney World. I have had the opportunity to share my Disney adventures with many different people, and have even met a few people here that have changed the way I think about things.
Last year, I spent a ridiculous 22 nights at Disney World, which may not be impressive for those who live nearby, but for those of us, more than 1,000 miles away, and less than 30 years of age, well, I'm still not sure how I did it. Nor is my boss.
Looking forward to another ten nights this September, and just wanted to share my general happiness this morning. It has been five years, according to little profile to the left, since I joined up.
Thanks to everybody here that makes this such a great community.
