Has early morning ADR transportation changed?

I just called to make an 8am reservation at MK CP and got an 8:05. I was very excited until I was told I needed to stop and the concierge desk the day before and make transportation arrangements as the buses don't run a schedule that early. I have never had to do that before, and this is my 10th trip. When did it change?

They have been giving the check on buses message for awhile when you make ADRs but buses routinely arrive for 8 am ADRs as long as you get to your stop very early as they don't run very frequently that early .

Buses begin running at 6:30 from the Resorts.

I would be at Bus Stop by 7:00 just to be safe.

In 10 years of having very early ADR's we have yet to see the Character Breakast bus...one time at the WL we were at the bus stop at 6:30 am to get to our AK 8:05 breakfast...the bus shows up at 8am, we were late to breakfast.

Ever since then we take a cab or drive ourselves

This is exactly what we have done for all of our early ADR's and a bus always shows up.

It would be nice if they really did have a confirmed character bus where you did check in for it in the early AM and then they made sure you got a ride

I did ask at the front desk the night before - they said to be by the bus stop for MK at 7 for CP
when I did Chef Mickey I was at the stop at 6:15 (with 3 other families - driver let his boss know that he was taking us to Chef Mickey since no one on the bus was going to MK)

AK is the worst. The parking lot doesn't open very early and the Disney buses start rather late for the 8:05 breakfast. We just made it. I think a bus finally arrived about 7:40-7:45am.

Last trip we had an 11:00 a.m. ADR for breakfast at Boma at AKL. We left WL at 9:30 a.m., took the boat to MK to grab a bus to AKL. Needless to say, we were 10 minutes late for our ADR. If you aren't willing to start out REALLY early, consider a cab.

that doesn't bode well....we have a tusker house breakfast on our first day

What do we do about Tusker House at Animal Kingdom if the parking lot doesn't open early enough and the buses aren't on-time?
We have a 8:10 breakfast on June 9 and we don't want to be late. Any thoughts?

I also have an 8:05am reservation for TH. I just know the bus will arrive later. Last year we were at the bus stop a little after 7am. Some guests were panicing as the bus still wasn't there at 7:30am. I knew from the Dis that it would arrive.

The bus for MK got us there so early we waited and waited to get into the park.
