Last summer we used Hotwire at MCO and got a rental through Avis (onsite at MCO). All went smoothly and the rates were very competative. This year we are also using Hotwire and got Hertz which is off site.

For your reference, the onsite companies are Avis, Budget, Dollar and National.

And Alamo is also onsite. They 'share' counter and garage space with National.

Last year we used Hotwire to rent a car from MCO. We got budget for our rental company. Just for info Budget had ALOT of stipulations if the car was in a wreck and the cost of having it repaired. I thought it was covered by OUR car insurance company but wasn't totally sure. I called our agent and it was so check with your insurance carrier to see if rental cars are covered.

PS I booked a pickup truck for the 2 of us it was cheaper and I knew Budget was the ONLY one who was renting them. Budget will let you drop the car off at a different location in Florida for NO charge BUT HOTWIRE rentals CAN'T be dropped off anywhere else. We went on a cruise and needed to drop in Port Canveral LUCKILY the manager was nice and made an exception for us with no extra charge..
