Has Anyone Used "Garden Grocer"?

my wife and i are returning to WDW in Feb. 2010 and i was reading in the Unofficial Guide about Garden Grocer and how you can order online before your trip and have groceries delivered to your resort.

we will be at WDW for eight days, and on the last trip we took (March 2009), we found that after 3 or 4 days of "dining, dining, dining", it was just a bit too much.

so i was thinking about ordering some groceries ahead of time, especially since more than one sit down meal a day leaves us both too stuffed to really enjoy touring the parks.

we usually wake up early, get to a park at opening, have a sit down lunch, then return to the resort in the early afternoon. we park hop to a different park around 5 or so, and then stay until that park closes.

i'm thinking that using Garden Grocer would save us not only money, but also give us the option of eating in our room after a long day touring.

can anyone share their experiences with using Garden Grocer? are they good about keeping their delivery time? how did having food choices in the room affect your overall trip?

on our last trip, we stayed at CB and a lot of nights we ended up in the food court spending money on food that we really were not into, but didn't want to go to sleep on an empty stomach.

i'm thinking that if we used Garden Grocer, i could budget more money to use for sit down lunches during our stay. we have never gone to a resort for lunch, but i have ADR's already made for several resorts for lunch, so that we can see some of the resorts that we have never been to.

for those of you who used Garden Grocer, did you order too much food? or too little?

any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated!

We used them, and were very happy. We also ordered 2 cases of water, and wine. They will deliver to the resorts even if you are not there, and your order will be stored in a refridgerated area, and brought up to your room for you. We were on the DDP, and ordered breakfast items and snacks.

I used Garden Grocer when we went to WDW Port Orleans Riverside in Aug 07. They were great, delivered when they were supposed to, milk was nice and cold. We did order too much as it was just myself and my two oldest kids, but it was great to have milk and cereal in the room for them to eat while I was getting ready. Got water and snacks too. It really was a great service and plan to use them again when we go in August.

Ive used them twice and hqave been very happy each time. We are big soda/water and milk drinkers. I had several 12 packs of drinks and 1/2 gallons of milk delivered as well as some donuts and lunchables. You pay slightly more than you would if you shopped the sales at home, but it was a great service!

We used them for the first time when we went in Feb this year and I would definitely use them again. We also did a refridgerator swap which I also recommend if you are not staying where there is one provided.

We purchased a case of water-I would freeze a couple of bottles each night before we went to bed and then take them with a couple from the fridge with us to the park, they would defrost while we were there-then you don't need spend a few bucks each time you want water and you probably drink more than if you purchased at the parks.

We also bought a few snacks to have in our room, like a bag of pretzels and jar of cheese dip, along with some apples and some doughnut holes for DD to eat in the morning while we got ready to go.

We arrived very late at night and had our delivery scheduled for before we arrived. All of our stuff was waiting for us and the hotel brought it right to our room after we checked in. We thought we might have to wait until morning because it looked like the luggage services was closed, but they got someone to help us out.

We used them in Nov. I ordered basically quick breakfast items (muffins, donuts, oatmeal bars, juice, milk) and bottled water. The only thing we had way too much of was bottled water. We ended up giving it to someone we saw coming down the hallway who had just checked in.

They were great. I ordered online. Someone called a few days beforehand to confirm, then they called my cell phone to let me know the ordere had been delivered while we were in the parks.

We used the m over thanksgiving and they did a great job. Our stuff was waiting for us at bell services when we got there, and thier prices seemed really reasonable. It most cases not much more than what we pay here, and we have some of the lower grocery prices nationally.

We used them last April and it worked great. We had picked a delivery time in the evening but ended up getting to the hotel earlier than planned. I called to check & our order had already been delivered.

It was very easy & convenient to use and I would definately use them again.
