I loved it. I was a little nervous, but the girl on the boat reassured me. I asked her if there was a chance I could fall and she said there wasn't. She then went on to describe the crap and tell me how to sit and all that jazz. So, I said, "I'm not going to fall. Even if I TRIED to get loose of this, it's going to hold me up there?"
She said I might get a really bad wedgie, but I wasn't going anywhere.
It was great. I paid the $25 extra (or however much) to stay up a few minutes longer and go a little higher and I'm glad I did.
It was peaceful. Although the wind rushes past your ears constantly and you hear a continuous whooshing sound, it is kind of quiet...like that noise is the only noise on the planet.
I saw something that looked like pastel military housing off to the right of the MK. No idea what that was. But mostly I just kind of looked around. It really was breathtaking.
At one point I started getting jerked around and that was a wee bit of concern. Then I saw that the boat had stopped and the girl and driver had both gone to the back of the boat and were fiddling around with something. And the jerking got worse. And I was SURE that was it, I was going to die. I was thinking about how not to get tangled in the sail or how to push it up if I managed to hit the water and live. I was considering whether I should hit the water diving or try to go in sideways or what.
Then the boat driver and girl went back to their positions and the boat started moving and all was well with the world again. About 2 minutes later, they brought me in. The last 2 minutes weren't as fun as the first ones because I kept thinking whatever it was might happen again and I'd die.
So, if that happens, don't worry.

I'd have had a much better time if I hadn't been worried about an untimely, painful and imminent death and all that.
You don't get dunked in the water. The other girl who went that day was all kinds of pissed off about that - they'd dunked her the LAST TIME, she wouldn't tell, wouldn't they just dunk her again. I was thinking - "go to the pool, dimwit." But if you're looking forward to getting dunked, you don't. You land on the boat.
Afterwards, I was PUMPED! Never felt like that before. Wanted to run and run. Wanted to hit something. I was so pumped and it lasted for a couple hours. It felt great. I told a war veteran about it (actually, I told everyone, because it was so amazing to me) and he knew exactly what I was talking about - described it better than I could, though I don't remember the words. Nobody else really seemed to "get" the feeling, but it was good.
All in all, I think it was well worth the money to be able to fly through the sky and not be in a plane. A unique experience I'm damn glad I had.
Have fun!!!
