Has anyone stayed at the Gaylord Texan yet?

Has anyone stayed at the Gaylord Texan or visited there yet? They are having a $129 a night Memorial Day weekend special, and I thought it might be fun to check it out. The pool looks pretty, but no water slide or anything.

We visited it and the place is big! It's very attractive and fun to explore. There's actually two pools, one inside and one outside and they both looked alright even though the indoor hot tub is situated in a strange place. It was somehow right in the doorway and kind of sloshing water around the hallway but I imagine that they'll fix that. The resort apparently has even more to add at a later date so this will be huge! We might just have to stay there one night ourselves particularly at that rate.

One thing, you do pay to self-park there. I'm so used to this in San Antonio and Orlando but this was a first for me in the Dallas area.

I think we paid $7 to park there one afternoon. It surprised me, too.

That $129 rate sounds great! I'd like to spend the night there, but the rates I was seeing were just !

I thought there was an indoor pool...in the early promotional e-mails I think it mentioned both indoor and outdoor pools. But the website, under "Pools" mentions only an outdoor pool. When you click on the fitness center section, it lists "outdoor pool and hot tub" but no indoor pool.

Paying to self park! If you're reading this from a big city, it might seem reasonable...but this is Grapevine, Texas and believe me, there is lots and lots of available land out there.
