Has anyone stayed at the Blue Heron Ressort or rented there from private owners?

this place looks really nice but I have a few concerns.
1. Can you get onto 535 from a side road, so you can access it at the light. It seems it would be a nightmare everyday to try to exit directly onto 535 from the front entrance.
2. They advertise covered parking, but do you have to pay extra for it.
3. Is their a separate web site like windsor hills, to rent from the owners directly.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.  :goodvibes :dance3:

We stayed for 3 nights in late March. It was....just ok....the left turn is difficult during busy times.

Parking does not cost extra.

The pools were okay. Just okay. Nothing special.

Our unit was okay...the furnishings were a little cheap in design and execution. The units themselves seem a little cheaply constructed. The kitchen was well appointed. Linens were sub par.

The front desk staff were neither welcoming or helpful. (See my other post--ran into same thing a Ginn Reunion on that trip. Hey, maybe they are reacting to ME> :rotfl2:

I did not feel like it was particularly relaxing couple days. We would not return....however the price for a 2 bedroom seems very competitive. Access to the parks was very easy drive. :)

I've been eyeing Blue Heron as well. We were going to stay there for our upcoming trip in August but it turned out to be an extended family vacay so we rented a large home instead.

When we were looking at it, I did find, and emailed some owners directly that I found listed on VRB0 dot com (vacation rental by owner website). The prices were much less than on the management/sales website.

After thinking it through, instead of booking Blue Heron next time its just our family of 5, I am leaning towards a condo or maybe even townhome in Windsor Hills/Palms. For whatever reason I get a better feeling about WH than what I've seen/read about BH. If I recall, for just a bit more at WH you get two real bedrooms, but for a similiar just a few dollars less at BH the second "bedroom" is a set of bunkbeds in the hallway.

Have you checked Blue Heron on tripadvisor dot com? If I recall, over all the reviews were decent
