Eek -- My first post!

We're staying at Marriott Royal Palms (attached to Orlando World Center by Marriott) in May and don't know anyone who's stayed there yet and can't find any reviews on line. There is so much knowledge on this board, I figure someone is bound to have some insight!

Thanks all!

Thanks Cass! How about transportation? We're not planning on renting a car. Is there public transportation nearby ... bus or I-Ride? How far is Universal?

How is the coffee situation in the room? Do they supply coffee w/the coffee maker daily (like std hotel rooms)? Or should we plan on buying our own coffee/filters? How about things like dishwashing soap? I'd hate to buy it down there so if not supplied, I will pack some of my free samples.

How is the screened deck? And the in-room hot tub? Is there a particular view that we should request or just close to the check-in area? Did you wander into the Orlando World Center at all? Nearby cheap restaurants?

Sorry so many questions! I just don't know anyone else who's stayed there and I want to be prepared. Also, trying to budget like everyone else on this board! ;)

Thank you SOOOOOO much for your advice!

We stayed there for 4 days to celebrate New Year's at Disney. We were very pleasantly surprised with the Royal Palms. I would definitely go back!

We were on the third floor and could not hear anyone above, below, or next to us. That was nice.

The villa layout was very nice, as well. The screened patio overlooked the golfcourse. The jacuzzi was great! It actually had two seat like areas in it.

We had our own car and found getting to WDW a snap! You will be able to use all the amenities at the World Center hotel, too. There is a shuttle to take you back and forth, but we didn't use it.

Have a great time!

There was a small amount of everything that you need. Coffee, dishwashing soap, paper towels, toilet paper etc. But if you have a big family you will need to buy more. I would just wait till you get there and then see for yourself what you will need more of. There is a Publix about 6-7 mins away, just ask front desk for directions. I would ask for a villa near the pool if you plan on using it. Some villas were a very far walk away! It's only about 5 mins from Disney but we had our own car so I have no idea about the transportation options. You can use the facilities at MOWC, just call the front desk and they will come and get you on a golf cart and take you over there. We sat on our patio every night, eating snacks and talking about our day and how much fun we had. The jacuzzi in the master bedroom was ok, we only used it once, nothing special about it that I remember.

They had really old tv's in all the rooms and our fridge was broken when we got there but they fixed it in a couple of hours and we enjoyed the villa very much!

I am sure you will love it! As long as you don't have an aversion to pink
