Has anyone seen the sticks since the ban?

We were in MK at 9am on the 1st day of the official ban. They are serious about it. The guy inspecting my bag even commented about it, asking me, "Got any selfie-sticks in here?".

All week long, the bag check guys were commenting about selfie-sticks and going thru EACH & EVERY tiny zippered compartment of every bag.

I'm glad they are so thorough!

I hope they don't find my hacksaw, grenade launcher and blow torch when I come in September.

I wish they would enforce their rule against backpacks with wheels people can pool behind them and rolling coolers. Can't remember how many times I twisted an ankle leaving the park in the dark when someone cut in front of me with one.

When we arrived at AK today we watched a man holding a selfie stick read the sign and ask his son to put the stick in his backpack. Watched security, stalled a bit to ask the Security guy what they do with selfie sticks, and the man went through the line. On another note, I took a picture of a group of men taking pics of British revolution and themselves with a long long selfie stick yesterday.
