My daughter wanted to know if Allie is still at the BCV. She liked seeing her last year, almost every morning. And my daughter is looking forward to seeing Allie-Gator....that is, if she is still their.

Thanks

We stopped over there on our way to dinner last week -- no sighting.:( My kids were looking forward to seeing it.

It could have been the time we were there -- early evening. When we stayed at BCV in Dec. 2002, we would see it most mornings.

Even if the villagator has gone it wont be for long as another will take its place. Alligators will take over any open space of water in florida.

Where was the gator located at the BCVs? The only gator I saw was at the Poly when we stayed there two years ago.

Just curious? (smile)

We did NOT see it in December when we were there nor in Feb! I wonder if it has been moved? We will be there next week and I will be on the lookout for it!

Looked for it first week of Jan.. no luck.. come to think of it, I didn't even see any turtles. It was pretty chilly though.

Getting rid of the alligators is one of many things that are done at WDW. Keep in mind that a small child can be very much at risk. I beleive there is a place where they take them to let them go free, they do not kill them. My daughter has worked at Yosmite Park and you would be surprised what the fool vistors sometimes try to do with the bears. Keep in mind the gators in WDW are not pets.

We didn't see it in Dec but there were lots of turtles. We did see one over at CS though.

As for it's gender, it's as arbitrary as calling it a male, as it would be to call it a widget. To my daughter and I, it just doesn't matter what gender it is. But if it helps, lets just say I made a sexes remark.... which was not my intent!

I was just curious as to the resident gator if, he/she or it, is still meandering about the water under or near the bridge from the parking area near the pool entrance.

That's all! I know I can take her to Gatorland if she was so inclined to look at gators. But having the one at the Beach Club Villas, was "cool" to look at from your balcony.

Maybe someone can ask about it for us that has a trip soon?

I seem to recall that many were told that once it became a certain length they could relocate it, but they had to wait until that time. Maybe that time came?

Since so many feed it I can bet it would become a little too friendly towards humans and expect food from us. I would think that could be very dangerous.

Did anyone see Steve Irwin in the parks recently? LOL

co-worker of mine saw wdw animal control have to trap and relocate a big one from cbr in june 02, it showed up on the bank to sun itself one afternoon, but it was around 8 foot so cm told my friend that once they get that big they get moved immediately when spotted, we watched volunteer fire dept at jekyll island ga come relocate a small 4 footer in june 03, it was under camper next to us in the morning, their dog kept barking at something and when they looked under trailer there it was, funny thing was neither of our 2 goldens barked at it at all, i took a couple of pictures, that was the forst time us 2 new yorkers had ever seen a wild one
