Has anyone rented a car from the Dolphin location?

I've checked in online for the Alamo at our airport. I still needed to go to the desk, but everything was zip-zip and I said the obligatory no to additional insurance, grabbed my paperwork and was able to choose whatever car I wanted right category in the lot. It made this fast. I'm not sure if it will work the same way at the Dolphin tho. If you do get to choose, I'm sure they'd direct you to where the cars were. It'll be obvious.

That's good to know. I remember that National had something similar in Philly.

I think that on pick up day we'll go to Epcot that morning and then just simply walk over to the Dolphin for lunch and a car. I like it!

National and Alamo share personnel as well as desks at many airports.

The convenience of walking to the Dolphin to get the car is AWESOME!

Does anyone know the hours of operation at the Dolphin rental counter?

They close quite early, maybe 4 or so. This could be a problem for pick up but we always drop off after they're closed. We just go to the valet window, tell them you're dropping off a car, they check out gas and mileage, give you a receipt and you're done.

Has anyone rented a ful size at this location?? If so what have you been given?? I'm oping for an impala. Also do they have a curtosey shuttle to pick you up to get your rental?? Thanks!

Yep, 4pm. I only found that out by playing around with pick-up times. Or at least 4pm was the latest they'd let me pick-up a car. 8am was the earliest too.

The cars are the same whether you rent from National or Alamo at the Dolphin - so book by price. You don't pick your car. Instead, the agent will hand you the keys to a car in the category you booked, although he/she may ask which car you prefer if there's a choice.

At the Dolphin there is no lot or aisle where you can choose your own car. At best, you might be able to pick from what's available when you're at the counter. Once you're given the keys to the rental car, you'll go outside to the valet window. They will bring the car to you.

You give the keys to the valet and he brings your car. Same when you drop-off the car. I usually tip the valet $1.
