Hello,

I'm sorry if this has been asked before, but, has anyone received their bill yet???

This is my first year and I'm not sure when the bills for dues are sent out.

Thanks
Frank

I saw in a note that the dues will be sent out the week after Christmas. They will be due January 15, with a grace period until February 15.

In other words, they're due February 15.

Unless you want to go to WDW before then, and you pay a lump sum annual payment...then you will have to pay before you go.

I have a ressie for the week of January 26th, does what Granny said mean that I can't go on this vacation until I pay my dues in full????

Please help clear this up for me.

Frank

Did you set up your dues to be paid monthly out of your checking account? If not, and you opted to pay them in one lump sum, then your dues have to be paid before you check in ( if your check in date is before Feb. 15th). I think you can also pay them when you check in, if I'm not mistaken. There was just something about this in the new VM that just came last week.

Frank,

I've got my VM here, and it says to allow seven days for mail delivery to ensure timely receipt of payment.

Or you can call Member Accounting (option 1, I think of the MS number) and switch to an automatic monthly payment. As SheriB stated, you don't have to have your entire dues paid before you stay under that scenario.

If you're not going to move to a monthly payment mode, I'd jump on that payment as soon as my dues came in, and then I'd call Member Accounting to make sure they have it before I left for vacation. I'd hate to be checking in and get the "we don't have your dues yet" problem messing up your check-in day!

If you are behind in your dues, you can not stay at DVC. You will get your bill and be able to pay it in time, don't worry. I am going the same time to DVC that you are, we will get our dues bill just after Christmas, and we will have plenty of time to pay it. I just checked my check book, last year I paid my dues on Dec 30th, a few days after I got my bill. Plenty of time for the mail to get to Florida for our vacation in January.

I second Granny's idea of moving over to the monthly payments. It doesn't cost anything extra, it comes right out of your account, and for me personally, I like to hold onto my money as long as I can. No sense giving it away before I have to, if there's no interest attached!

We'll be at VWL 1/21-1/31. Hope to see you!

Hello,

Does DVC let you use a check card?? I'd like to use my Paypal account for the payment. I have an account that I use for my eBay selling and I thought that this was a good way to pay the fees without touching my personal accounts.

Frank

Frank,
I am pretty sure you can't use Paypal. DVC lets you pay in full with a credit card(Master card or Visa only) or monthly debit from a checking acct only.

......OR a savings account too!!!!!! Mine comes out of my savings account...it just can't be a passbook savings, it has to be a statement savings account.

Well I have a Paypal Visa that debits from my Paypal account, I think I'll use that.

I want to thank everyone for their advice, being new member it's nice to have this forum.

For clarifiaction on someone's earlier post, yes, you can pay your dues when you check-in at your resort (at least at OKW - since other resorts share check-in with hotels the CM may not be familiar with it.) They simply write you a receipt and forward the payment to member accounting via internal company mail.

Frank, there's no financial benefit for paying annually with a Credit Card vs monthly via checking account debit. If you fly, I think that you'd get more "bang for your buck" by charging the year's dues to a Freq. Flyer Credit Card. JMHO........:D
