We have been on three of our five cruises with our best friends. On our last cruise, our husbands were sooooo looking forward to the scallops, because they remembered how much they enjoyed them from the last cruise. We had the late seating, and they both ordered their scallops. When they were finished, they asked if they could order another to split, trying not to be greedy. The servers insisted that they have their own. After those were brought and devoured, they were lamenting that they were gone, so the server offered to bring them more. They agreed happily.
I am not even exaggerating. The servers brought out this HUGE bowl of scallops, I think there must have been about 25 - 30 in there, and sat it down between them. Our husbands ate nothing else, but spent the rest of our meal chowing down on those things. We thought they were both going to be sick, but they were two very happy guys. No little scallop died in vain that night.
My husband as already started dreaming of the scallops for next year.

When my daughter was 10 months old, we brought a TON of baby jar food on board, because even though she was eating some regular food. we wanted to make sure she had what she needed. I think we opened one jar the first morning, but didn't touch them again. She tried all sorts of new foods and the servers were great about bringing her out things to try. I hated when they'd bring a full meal, since we knew that she wouldn't eat all of it, but they insisted. She loved the mixed veggies, and she was (and still is) obsessed with fruit, so every night when we sat down, they already had a banana peeled and cut into small pieces for her.
Looking back now, I guess it is good that she doesn't have any food allergies, as a ship in the middle of the ocean would have been a very unfortunate place to discover one. No one in our family has/had any though, so we weren't as worried as maybe we should have been.
