Has anyone ordered a stroller and had it delivered to the resort?

The prices online are so much better than anything up here. Also a much bigger selection.

Has anyone bought online from a US website and had it shipped to the resort?

I have heard all the great posts on the Maclarens, but I am also checking out the Peg Perego Aria and Plinko Lite. I can't find the max. weight for these. Also wondered about the height of the handles as I am 5'8".

I know its not much help, but the Americans do say that they have done this. If you have a US address, maybe then it will not be a problem? Plus after spending so much, I don't know I will take the risk, though trust me, I had been thinking about it until I stumbled across on the good deal on the Maclaren I got in TO.

I thought as long as it had your name and confirmation # and or date of arrival that they hold it for up to (two weeks?).

We bought one off of eBay two years ago and had it sent to the Swan where we were staying. I called the Swan ahead and they said they would hold it for 2 weeks.
I got notification from UPS that it arrived, and when we arrived 4 days later the staff even brought it right to our room.
Just make sure to have your name and date of arrival on the package.

Thank you!

Now I just have to hope that the stroller I choose, is still in stock in 2 months when I go to order it!

I did, and it worked like a charm. I ordered a JOOVY from Amazon.com and had it sent to Vero when I arrived it was in my room. Saved abiout $150

My advice is to call ahead to make sure.

Was there any sales tax? I'm looking at purchasing online with Albeebaby or Toysrus.

Any thoughts on the best one for a 4yr old 41 lbs? She likes a big canopy and I will probably save the stroller for a few years and take her younger sister when she is almost 4 to DL.

There are too many choices and I haven't found a store that carries any of the ones I'm looking at so I can make a decision.

Yup, I've done it twice, as well as other big packages - just had a Cricut (scrapbooking machine & 8 cartridges) delivered to Contemporary Concierge.

You need to contact the resort first to make surei it's ok, and double check on what shipping address they want you to use as the reservation sheets they mail to home sometimes are incorrect (I've had this happen several times).

I've never had a resort say no, but they do have stipulations sometimes as to how far in advance they want you to send it - they don't have room for you to be holding large packages for weeks on end. Also, they will put a note in your reservation so that the check-in desk knows there is a package waiting on arrival.

Good luck - strollers are so much cheaper in the U.S. then here! Tiger

Making plans to go to a Baby store about an hour away, just to test out some models. They are way too much money here!

The big one is Peg or Mac? I'll take my niece so I can see which one I think will work the best.

I have a Peg Pliko P3 and 2 Macs - Max Techno XLR goes to 65lbs and Mac Triumph to 55lbs. They are both awesome strollers! My Pliko has the step bar on back, so my just turned 5 year old likes to hop on the back to check up on her baby brother who is turning 1 in a few weeks. We've taken them all to WDW and they work very well. Both are very well made (England & Italy as opposed to China which makes for cheap strollers that fall apart). They both steer like a dream, but the Macs are just a tad better for steering as that is their area of expertise.

You can't go wrong with either brand, but the Pegs are usually a bit heavier (depending upon the model you choose). Also remember, you must order from a certified dealer or your warranty is void. If unsure, call Peg or Mac, and they will help you out with that.

Happy stroller shopping, Tiger :)
