Has anyone NOT had a problem with food at Disney?

As for myself, I'm not a fussy eater at all. (Of course, it's probably from my upbringing, where I can remember times when we able to afford very little to eat in my household growing up. Which is another reason why I think being able to dine and play at WDW (and present it to my kids) is such a blessing. But, I digress...) My DW and DD are kinda picky. My DS is a bottomless pit, and will eat whatever you put in front of him.

The vast majority of our dining experiences have been positive, with DD absolutely loving Teppan Edo, and DS was a fan of SciFi. DW didn't care for the food at Boma (while I LOVED it), but was pleasantly surprised with CP and LTT (two places I've worked hard to book again this year).

However, this year, we're going with my DW's brother, his wife, and their DS (5, same age as my son). These people are the FUSSIEST EATERS I've ever seen in my life! I don't think they "cook" very often, and could go the entire day eating just a single Eggo waffle. I'm seriously worried about these people, and the dining recommendations that they've made ("because they look interesting", they say). But, I keep telling myself that anything they can't cope with is THEIR OWN problem....

I have to agree about the kids meals. If we were at buffet's I would just serve the kids from the adult side too. AT the Garden Grill our waiter offered to bring out the adult food for the kids too since he understood they were probably sick of the same old 3 things.

My DH is a bottomless pit and will anything you put in front of him and not complain. That's his upbringing adn the Marines for you! :rotfl:

I also grew up the same way. Just eat what's in front of you and shut it up! LOL

Now DS is picky but we can always find something for him. DD is like her daddy and she is 2! :hyper:

The only meal on any Disney trip I did not like was at DTD Raglan Road. I had the fish and chips which were absolutely tasteless. Everything else I truly have enjoyed. We have a lot more to try still. Repeat visits to CRT, Cosmic Rays, CP in the past and visiting SciFi Dine In for the second time in Oct. :yay:

We love Disney food! I can honestly say I can't remember one bad dining experience in Disney World. Of course, there are some places we like better than others, but that has more to do with atmosphere and service. My 17 year old DD and I will eat almost anything, but my DH and 15 yr. old DD are very picky eaters, and so far they've loved every meal at Disney! We'll be going back in September and trying some new restaurants, so I'm hoping the trend continues! On our last trip, we were all commenting that even the soda tastes better in WDW - I think they must add pixie dust or something!

Never had a complaint about food in WDW, though prior to this I never ate anywhere but the counter services. This trip starting next monday will be my first proper dining Disney experiences and I'm looking forward to it. I dont have a perticularly fussy mood for food, as long as it tastes good I'm happy.

That said looking forward to some counter service food. Still love DTD McDonalds and Earl of Sandwich. I'll also be hittin the Chinese on World Showcase I'm sure

We didn't have any problems with the food at Disney!! Generally, we LOVED it, and loved using the DDP in 2007. Of course we enjoyed some places better than others (as is the case generally at any restaurant, not just Disney), but NO Food was awful. We had poor CS only one place, other than that the servers were all great too!!

When we went last year, I don't think I had a huge problem w/ anything I ate. Of course, some places I liked more than others, but overall I didn't have anything that I really disliked.

We had just one bad experience at Crystal Palace on our trip in 2004. DH cut into his salmon and it was raw :scared1:.

Ah! I always consider raw salmon as a special treat...that's sashimi at salmon filet prices. :thumbsup2

The only problem I've ever had with food at Disney has been not being able to eat as much as I wanted.

I still remember the black forest cake (schwartzwalder kirschtorte) at the CR from a trip back in the '90's...sigh! :lovestruc

We really enjoy the food at WDW. It's great to be able to go to an "upscale" restaurant, like CG or Jiko's, and be able to bring my kids along and not feel like I'm doing something wrong. BTW, they behave just fine. I definitely agree that there needs to be more choices for the kids though....

in the past three times I've been to the resort, I've never had a bad dish. We've tried most of the dining spots in WDW, none of them have left us unsatisfied. You just have to go in with an open mind and an empty stomach.

I think the only lows I've experienced have been to do with service. There have been a few of them, and at places you would expect better.

DH and DS really did not like the food at CRT for dinner. I think that is our only food related complaint (and the service was awful, so a real twofer!)

I agree with the previous poster, our only bad experiences have really been about the service much more than the food. There have been meals that we liked less than others but nothing was ever truly bad. We did have to send cold food back one time but again, I blame that more on the service in that it must have been ready in the kitchen and wasn't brought to us in a timely fashion.

We are also doing deluxe dining in August as we definitely go for the food as much as anything else!

We've never had a problem with food..service yes (we'll never go back to Tusker House!) but the food has always been good. We like certain things more than others..but there is no place we said "we won't eat there again!"

Never had a problem.
Food is very important to me. I love eating well, especially on vacation. That's one of the reasons we always go back to WDW. Good times and good food!

I didn't like my sandwich at the old Polynesian place in Adventureland at the MK when I was six or seven . . . apart from that, no problems. :)

Great Thread...it's good to see so many people are the same as us...4 trips and not a bum meal in the bunch. (We've had things we didn't care for, but not bad food.) DW talk about all the critics here on the boards, and don't understand it.

Price's are certainly high for what you get, but not outrageously so. (Go out to dinner in a major metropolitan area and see what you pay.)

In 7 trips we've only had two minor issues and they weren't even really "problems" per se. We ate at Tony's Town Square in October and it was less than desireable...not God awful but could have been better. The other was at the Rainforest Cafe in DTD. Again...nothing so terrible I would bash them and never return.

Other than that we have always been very happy with our meals at WDW. I wish I was there for lunch right now instead of eating a ham & cheddar lunchable! :lmao:
